Winter is underway back home for me. This outfit is perfect for some last minute shopping or if you are planning ahead this would work great for heading to class. All these pieces work well alone but when you put them all together, you get something special. I wore this outfit a few days ago and I got lots of compliments. No better feeling than feeling good in clothes you love. This outfit is warm and comfortable but looks chic. All things we look for in clothes.
We have all seen the boots I am wearing before (with skirts, dresses, jeans, and leggings) but today I changed it up and wore a pair of fuzzy boot socks with them to bring out the winter white.I got these socks from American Eagle.
These are my favorite faux leather leggings. They have a fun Aztec pattern on them. I love faux leggings because they dress up an outfit rather than just wearing black leggings.
My blue chambray shirt is from Old Navy. I love the faded light blue especially in the winter months. In the warmer months, if you pair it with a pair of white shorts, you get a great look too.
My winter white infinity scarf is from Target, believe it or not. It keeps me warm in the colder months and is a great statement piece. Plus, I adore how it matches my winter white boot socks.
A pair of silver hoops, top of my outfit. I hope this gives you some ideas of how to dress fashionably but still stay warm.

Today’s look of the day is all about layering. I love to layer my outfits especially in the fall and winter. Layering gives you the option to be comfortable in warm or cool temperatures. I’m an enthusiastic fan of Old Navy. Their clothes are inexpensive and pretty good quality, they will last you a few seasons. I get all my jeans from there. They have assorted styles and sizes for each individual body type. Lastly, you can’t beat their sales. Whenever I am home from school, I always take a peak in Old Navy. These are my favorite go-to high black boots. I’ve worn them in the past with leggings, dresses and skirts but now you can see them with jeans. They are super comfortable and great for fall and winter.
These jeans are from Old Navy, I’m wearing the regular, straight cut jean. I also have a pair of boot cut, I tend to wear those with a wedge or heel.
Let’s talk about this sweater. How cute is it? I love the red hearts and navy. It goes perfect with the blue jeans as well. Also, it may be a few months away but this sweater would be perfect for Valentine’s Day. Since my sweater was light weight I paired it with my navy vest from Francesca’s Boutique. Now, if it has already started to snow by you, a navy coat would complement the sweater and jeans as well.
I wore simple gold jewelry and wore a coral-red for a pop of color on my lips.

This winter outfit is perfect for heading to class, shopping for Christmas, or a date night. This comfortable outfit is a great way to kick off the first snowfall. Let’s get down to the details of the outfit.
This are my favorite black boots, they are warm and fashionable. Leather boots are so versatile, you can wear them with jeans, leggings, a skirt or dress. That is one of the many reasons I love these boots.
These cheetah print leggings are from Old Navy. I love the dark colors it comes in and how they can be pair with any outfit to dress it up. They are both comfortable and a pop of print instead of wearing standard black leggings.
I’m wearing a simple black shirt under this poncho. I get my solid black and white shirts from GAP and Old Navy. They are excellent quality and last a while.
I got this poncho from the Scandal Style the Limited Collection. It is from the show Scandal, one of my favorite shows. Olivia Pope wore a look alike sweater like this in the series. It is both comfortable and chic, two things you want in the things you wear. The sweater is a big statement piece that changes my whole outfit. Plus, not gonna lie, when I wear this poncho, I feel like I’m Olivia Pope and I can “handle” anything that gets in my way.
I’ve worn this hat before in the fall but here is another way you can wear the hat in the winter. I have bought all these things separately but put them together to form this chic outfit for a day of Christmas shopping.

As we get into the middle of November, we are closer to winter than fall. I like to start to transition my clothes from fall to winter colors. Black is my favorite color to wear. A color so simple can go with every outfit.
I wore this outfit out to shopping and lunch and it was perfect for the chilly air. I get my jeans from Old Navy. I love how they carry styles for every body type. I am wearing the body cut jeans and I paired them with my favorite black shoe boots. Wedges or peep toe shoes would also work with these jeans. Since it is getting colder I opted out of a peep toe.
I got his black top from Francesca’s Boutique. I love the wrap around your midsection and the detailing on the top. The shirt is also very comfortable with soft fabric.
Since I am pairing black and navy together, I wanted to add some bling with gold accents. I am wearing gold hoops and rings both finds from American Eagle on sale!

Today’s outfit is all about taking neutral pieces and putting them all together in a chic outfit. We all have simple pieces in our closets but we never think to wear them together. Today, I’m going to show you how. Wearing all these pieces alone makes your outfit bland but tying them all together with a few accessories makes everything better. This outfit is perfect for college students heading to class. Heading to a fall festival? A pumpkin patch? Or a day shopping? This outfit would work great for any fall activity. Everything I am wearing are all neutral, fall colors and I’m sure you have these pieces or ones similar in your own closets. Here’s what you need to make this outfit work for you.
Black leggings or pants even jeans if you like. Whatever you feel most comfortable in. I get my leggings from GAP.
White t shirt (long or short it’s up to you. I wore a short sleeve shirt since it warmed up in the afternoon. I get my white t shirts anywhere. Whoever has the best sale wins.
Light jacket or coat. I got this tan jacket from Old Navy and it is perfect for fall or spring. A jean jacket or leather jacket would work great as well.
Little booties (a must have for fall, I love these suede wedges but brown, black even peep toes shoes can work great). I got these last year from Shoe Carnival.
A scarf to tie the whole outfit together. This scarf is from Old Navy has the black, white, and brown to tie the whole outfit together.
Alone all these pieces are simple, solid colors but get a scarf, fun jewelry or even a pop of color and you are set to go. I didn’t spend a penny on this outfit this season. It was all things I already had in my closet. Sometimes we forget what we have in our closet and we want to buy something new. However, if we take a few extra minutes we can be creative and make our own outfits. I hope this inspires you to think out of the box when it comes to fashion. It’s officially fall! I love the leaves changing, the crisp air and the smell of apples all season long. But, as soon as the first snow fall hits, I am in the Christmas spirit. Thankfully, we have a few more months until it’s time for Christmas carols and sleigh bells.
Fall weather means it’s time for shoe boots, comfy sweaters, and hot apple cider. This outfit is perfect for an autumn walk or pumpkin carving. Although, you can’t see my shoes I wore a simple black, wedges shoe boot. These are my favorite shoe boots that I wear in the fall and winter. The heel is big enough to a long pair of jeans or a simple black skirt. I got these jeans from Old Navy. Old Navy is my go to for jeans, I love all the unique styles they have and there so many options that you can find one that fits your style and look. I am wearing the boot cut style in this picture and it works perfect for heeled shoe or boot. I got this black turtleneck sweater from GAP a few years ago both in black and a fuchsia pink. They are staples in my wardrobe for fall and winter. They are warm and comfortable but are also unique with the neck. A long necklace would make a perfect statement piece with this sweater. It’s also thick enough that you don’t need to wear another layer in the warmer fall weather. I am obsessed with hats this year, from monogrammed baseball hats, to floppy summer hats, and panama hats. I found this cowboy style hat on sale from DSW and I had to get it. It completes this outfit perfectly and I have found other outfits that I can add it to.
Hot Apple Cider may be my favorite part of Fall.
Finally, I have my hot drink in my hand, whether you are a #PSL girl or a hot apple cider girl like myself, a warm drink is crucial for fall. Speaking of which, I hope you are reading this blog with your favorite fall drink. A cute and comfortable accessory. I’ve talked about them a lot in the past and I have worn them on numerous occasions. Definitely a favorite in my closet.

I love a good lipstick. I started using this Bare Mineral matte lip stick from Ulta Beauty and fell in love with it. It goes on soft and smooth and dries matte. I love the soft pink. It works with any outfit. They have a wide variety of shades but I loved this pink in the summer months.

A quick look of the day for you on this lovely Thursday. I’m currently traveling today so expect a fun travel post next week. Also, a quick thank you to my cousin Anna, for these great pictures.
When I am not working in the summer I love to wear a cute short and t-shirt set. This is perfect for a day at the park, a shopping spree or just hanging out with family. It easy to throw on in the morning for a day out or at night for a late dinner.
Starting from the bottom, I’ve worn these high waisted shorts before and I can’t say enough about them. They are comfortable, easy to wash and since they are white they can be mixed with different tops. I previously wore this shorts with a black blouse, today I decided to go with a brighter top to break it up. My shorts are from Marshall’s. I always had good luck finding great deals at Marshalls.
Moving on to the top, I got this lightweight blouse from Old Navy. I like the bold and bright colors which complements the plain white shorts. The fun colors scream summer and this top can be worn with white shorts, black shorts or any combo.

Lots to talk about on this lovely Thursday! Today, I decided to change it up and show TWO different looks for two different women.

Her bold pants are so comfortable and are from TJ MAXX (one of my favorite stores) In a previous post I talked about how it’s good to have a few solid t-shirts in your wardrobe and its paying off. The white t-shirt complemented her pants perfectly. She got her shirt from TJMAXX as well and her shoes are from Marshalls. I love the straps on them! Thank you so much Anna!!

Now, for today’s looks I’m showing two different styles of dresses. Another big thank you to my mom, who stepped in front of the camera this time to show off her outfit. Both dresses are from Old Navy. They are both light weight which are great for summer and come in a variety of colors. I personally like to go with bright, bold colors so, I went with pink. My mom decided to go with blue, which is a more relaxed color.

Starting off with my look, I went the bright pink dress. I loved the cutouts in the front and back and I love how it was loose fitting. Since it is a solid color I can add different statement pieces. I decided to down play my look with just a simple pair of wedges. But, I could also add a sweater, jacket, or bold necklace to change up the look. I am always wearing these shoes. They are super comfortable, they are nude (gotta love a neutral color), and they are versatile. I can wear them with a dress, capris, or even jeans. Wedges are on my summer must have. I got mine from DSW.

My mom decided to add more accessories to her outfit. She went with a similar dress in blue (her favorite color). She also decided to get a style with longer sleeves. They are ¾ quarter length and the dress works great for a night on the town with a bit of a breeze. My mom decided to add some jewelry. Her necklace and bracelets are from Old Navy as well. I love to use jewelry to make a statement but I love dhow my mom had her jewelry match her dress. I also like how she wore a pair of sandals to dress down her outfit. I, on the other hand dressed it up with wedges.

I got this all black jumpsuit from Old Navy a few years ago. It’s very comfortable and has pockets (a personal favorite of mine)!! Who doesn’t love pockets in skirts, dresses, and rompers?!
I got these fuzzy slides from Marshall’s and they too are comfortable but also a major fashion trend right now! An added Bonus: they were under $20! Lastly, my hat can be paired with shorts for a day outside, with a bathing suit for a relaxing day by the pool.
