Hey guys!

Happy Wednesday. We are at the end of another month, I donā€™t know about you, but February has flown by for me. The good news is that we are slowly but surely, making our way through winter and springtime is getting closer too. Hereā€™s a look at what Iā€™ve been up to this past month.

What Iā€™m up to: Outside of work, Iā€™ve been enjoying time at home, staying cozy and doing lots of cooking, from soups, and baking cookies for Valentineā€™s Day. I enjoyed watching the Super Bowl with family and celebrating Valentineā€™s Day. This past month has been a mix of a little bit of everything.

I made homemade Chicken Noodle Soup.
I also made homemade Margarita Chicken Soup from one of my favorite bloggers, Mix and Match Mama!

What Iā€™m wearing:  All. The. Layers. It has been cold, so I have been wearing lots of long sleeve dresses for work or blazers with pants. On days off, Iā€™ve been going for more of the comfortable route with leggings or jeans and then sweaters. Hereā€™s a simple look I wore around Valentineā€™s Day, I kept it simple with black leggings and a baggy sweater, both from Aerie. I kept my jewelry also simple, wearing pink earrings and delicate necklace and pink bow to tie it all together.

Staying cozy and inside most of the month of February.

What Iā€™m reading:  I finished Beach Read by Emily Henry at the end of January, it was a fun read to take my mind off of snow and onto summery days. Iā€™m currently re-reading Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and I love reading it again. I am always finding new things that I missed when Iā€™ve read it in the past.

What Iā€™m Watching: All of the Olympics. I love that thereā€™s something always on to watch. Even if itā€™s for a few minutes, you can find a new sport to get excited about. Iā€™ve also been watching Downton Abbey and Iā€™ve been loving it. Itā€™s so easy to get lost in the show and watch episode to episode. I just started season 2 and Iā€™m obsessed.

What Iā€™m Loving:Ā Iā€™ve been loving all the heart shaped and Valentineā€™s Day dĆ©cor for the past month. Iā€™m also loving the fact of hibernating, if you will. Itā€™s nice to have a lighter calendar with not as much things going on during the winter. Itā€™s been good to give myself extra breathing room by not having a jam packed schedule.

Valentine’s Day spread at home.
There’s nothing like celebrating love.

What Inspires Me: Iā€™ve been inspired by doing my baking and cooking at home. I did a lot of cooking at the start of 2021 and I want to get back into more cooking and trying new recipes this year.

Baking cookies for the holidays was a bright spot this past month.

What I accomplished: Iā€™ve really enjoying the slow and steady month. Itā€™s been nice to hang out at home more and have a more low-key month. There are times when Iā€™m super busy and slammed so itā€™s nice to have some calmer months thrown in there.

My pup Milton and I staying warm and inside this past month.

Goals Accomplished from Last Month I enjoyed a ā€œMe Dateā€! I took some time for a self-care spa night at home and it was just what I needed before the start of a busy week. Iā€™m always looking for ways to carve even a few minutes of downtime for myself outside of the busy day to day lives. It doesnā€™t have to be a big event, but just making some extra time for yourself once a month or week by doing something small will make a big difference.

Goals for the New Month:  I want to get outside more and get some fresh air and exercise as hopefully the weather gets warmer. Iā€™ve tried to get outside this past month but the bitter cold temperatures makes it a bit tricky to enjoy a walk in single digits. I got out ice skating a few times and I’m hoping to do it more in the next month.

I got to ice skate for a story for work and loved every moment.

Thatā€™s a look into my life this past month. Thereā€™s nothing too exciting, lots of time at home with family. Iā€™ve been reading and watching shows and cooking on days off. Iā€™m really loving where Iā€™m at right now in life. Now that Iā€™ve shared about my past month, tell me about yours! Howā€™s your month been?

Hey hey guys! Happy final week of September! Anyone else feel like we just celebrated Labor Day??

This month feels like a whirlwind, from wrapping up summer fun to starting the fall season. This month was packed full with lots of fun and memories. Hereā€™s a look back on September with Currently.

What Iā€™m up to:Ā Ā Lots of fall walks! I am trying to soak up as much time outside as possible. From walks at the Peninsula, to walks in the woods or just in my backyard.

Finishing summer with summer walks.

I finished summer with a traditional baseball game.

Ending summer at a baseball game.

Iā€™ve also made headway in my fall bucket list! l already went to a pumpkin patch and Iā€™m making headway in some scary stories and fall walks too. Besides work and family time, my hobbies have been keeping me busy.

I already went to a pumpkin patch this year.

What Iā€™m wearing:Ā The weather has made it hard to find outfits this season. Sometimes I can get away with short sleeves, other times, its long sleeves and pants. I have a fall roundup of work clothes coming soon! I am starting to break out my leggings when Iā€™m at home on days off or when I come home from work. I found a great pair from Gap, they are super long lasting and are thick too. I also like that they are high-waisted too!

What Iā€™m reading:Ā I finished reading “The People You Meet on Vacation” and I absolutely loved it! From the characters, the plot and the way it was told. If you havenā€™t read it yet, I highly recommend it!

My little buddy reading with me.

Iā€™m also currently reading “The Silent Patient”. My friend Maddie recommended it to me and I have loved it! Iā€™ve never been a fan of thrillers or dark mysteries but Iā€™m hooked on it. What are some books you are loving?!

What Iā€™m Watching: I finished watching season 2 of Modern Love. I really loved the first season and I thought the second one was good, but I really loved the first one. Based on popularity I started to watch Community. I really love the characters and how its only 30 minute episodes. I also canā€™t wait for my shows to return on tv!! Shows returning in the fall is a big favorite for me!

What Iā€™m Loving: As we are making our way through fall, Iā€™m all about staying in more, less time traveling and more quality time unwinding after work or spending time with family. Iā€™m loving cozy nights in and building time in my schedule for the things I love including reading or shows or even going for walks or coffee with friends.

I’ve been spending a lot of time baking.
And cooking too!

What Inspires Me:Ā For the longest time I was putting off the start of fall. I wanted to hold onto summer for as long as I could. I enjoyed a boat ride with co-workers and I enjoyed a flower festival with my mom too!

But now that fall is here, Iā€™m embracing it!! From seeing the leaves fall to lighting warm scents and candles to seeing pumpkins and hay and apples in displays in stores and at different farmerā€™s markets.Ā

Boat rides with co-workers!
And summer flower festivals too!

What I accomplished:Ā As far as accomplishments go, Iā€™ve been keeping busy at work between some projects and just the daily work. Iā€™ve been making time for meaningful time with family too. I got busy in the summer visiting friends, but now that things have quieted down a but Iā€™m liking a quieter lifestyle. I even started finding old hobbies fun again, like word searches. I loved them as a child and I’m found my love for them again!

I feel like a kid again with a word search!

Goals Accomplished from Last MonthĀ I really soaked up the end of summer and the warm weather by going on walks and enjoying some tasty ice cream, say it with me, ice cream makes everything better. Now, that summer is officially behind us, itā€™s full on fall mode.Ā

Big pumpkins are getting me ready for fall!

Goals for the New Month:Ā Besides working, my goal for the next month is to accomplish as many things as possible on my fall bucket list! I love my lists and I look forward to crossing more things off and making memories.

My Fall Bucket List

Thatā€™s a look into my life this past month, all about the changing of seasons and getting ready for a new season. What are you looking forward this next month? What was a highlight from your past month?

Hey guys! Happy Wednesday! I canā€™t believe we are at the end of JUNE!!! Where has the month gone??  These past few weeks have been packed with fun, family time, and lots of fresh food. YUM! I have so much to share with you. Letā€™s get started!

What Iā€™m up to:Ā Iā€™ve been marking a lot of things off my summer to do list. From seeing friends, doing family activities and going to my favorite summer spots. From ice cream dates, to our family vacation and end of the school year traditions. June has been packed, but so fun.Ā

Summer smores and bonfires go hand and hand

What Iā€™m wearing:Ā I did a post a few weeks back about some of my favorite summer outfits. You can find it here. We went on vacation last week and I will have a post about what I wore on vacation in the coming weeks. For work days, itā€™s been lots of sleeveless dresses. For off days it was been t-shirt dresses and short sets. Super easy to put together and comfortable for being outside.Ā

Here’s one of the dresses I wore!

What Iā€™m reading:Ā Iā€™ve been on the fiction train when it comes to books. Some of my favorite reads have been about travel, friendship and love. No surprise thereā€¦haha. I like to really escape. I just finished The Paris Wedding for our book clubā€¦it was so good. It told the story of a girl who goes to her exā€™s wedding in Paris. I love the description of Paris and reading about what happens when these exā€™s are reunited. Iā€™m currently working on The Bookstore at the Beach. Itā€™s the perfect summer read by the pool or ocean. Itā€™s about three generations of women and the secrets and struggles that they are working on while spending the summer together. Iā€™m only halfway through but Iā€™m loving it so far.

What Iā€™m Watching:Ā If you have been following this blog for a while you know I take forever to watch a showā€¦like for someone who watches a series in a month, it will take me 3 months. That being said, Iā€™m still watching Offspring, which is soooo good. Iā€™m also catching up on season 2 of Lupin on Netflix, again a very good show too!Ā

What Iā€™m Loving:Ā Iā€™ve been loving the summer weather and spending time outside and making more plans with friends. Now that more people are vaccinated it makes travel and seeing friends and family much easier! Also Iā€™ve been loving all the fresh fruits and veggies that come with summer too. Plus who doesn’t love a summer salad. YUM!

My favorite summer pasta salad. Recipe coming soon!

What Inspires Me: Iā€™m inspired by our return to a sense of normalcy. This summer feels almost like things are back to normal. Iā€™m also inspired by new life with fresh flowers and taking things a bit slower in the summer months too.

Grilling at the beach was something new I tried this summer!

What I accomplished: I am making the most of summer. Iā€™ve also been working on some fun work projects and making plans more plans for summer. We also celebrated my youngest brother graduating from elementary school too which was fun. We had been at the same school with 4 children for 18 years. It was sweet send off.

Goals Accomplished from Last Month Getting some time away with my family was much needed and so fun! We went to one of our favorite places and I canā€™t wait to share some pictures soon!!

Just a taste from our family vacation… šŸ˜‰

Goals for the New Month: Continuing with my summer bucket list. I canā€™t wait to see more friends, do my summer activities and relax with family at the end of the day! Iā€™m also starting a new role at my job which Iā€™m super excited about. Also, the Fourth of July is quickly approaching which is a favorite summer event for me too!

I tried a new local crepe spot this summer…yum!

Thatā€™s a recap of my life. Lots of family time, crossing off things from my summer bucket list and enjoying the outdoorsā€¦itā€™s truly the best days of summer.

Hey hey everyone! October was a month, like between working different schedules, seeing family, and gearing up for a busy few weeks ahead. With that being said, I apologize if this currently is a little boring. But letā€™s get to it.

What Iā€™m up to: Lots of work but also filling my free time in with fall activites. This past week I went apple picking and it was so fun and very fall! Iā€™m so glad I got it in before the weather got too cold.

Fun day apple picking

What Iā€™m wearing: I went on a shopping spree to Marshallā€™s and T.J. Maxx and got some cute dresses for fall. Check out this green one!!! Perfect for winter and fall weather and the color compliments the weather we are experiencing.

New green dress for fall

What Iā€™m reading: I decided to try some audio books. I am currently making my way through Mindy Kailingā€™s book series through Amazon reading. She has a series of books that reflects her life, her family, her work and her background. This is such a fun listen especially when Iā€™m doing things around the house.

What Iā€™m Watching: Iā€™ve been watching Schittā€™s Creek and loving it. I love that the episodes are only 20 minutes and the casting is perfect. Itā€™s the perfect light thing to watch at the end of the day or when Iā€™m getting ready to start the day.

What Iā€™m Loving: I am loving the fall weather, the changing of the leaves, the crisp air and making my way through my bucket list for fall.

What Inspires Me:  Iā€™ve been lately so inspired by Pinterest. I am loving all the fall and winter boards Iā€™m creating for food, fashion, fun and quotes. Itā€™s been a great creative escape.

Inspiration

What I accomplished: With work being super busy, I am so happy with getting time to relax and unwind even during the busy days, plus I am loving the ability to relax and unwind and make times for family traditions in the fall too.

Goals Accomplished from Last Month Despite all the chaos, I have still been able to stay in touch with family and friends with weekly facetime calls and in person dinners. Also, even in all the craziness, I have been able to keep up with my work out routine and stay active too.

Goals for the New Month: Although, this next month will start out busy I am looking forward to planning for the holidays, even though it will be a bit different I am looking forward to all my favorite yearly traditions.

Thatā€™s just a recap into life today. Not too exciting but a realistic look into life today.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi everyone! Can you believe we are already to the end of August?! Where has this summer gone? In some ways this summer has flown by and I have gotten to fit a lot in whether it is family time, friend time, lots of walks and time outside. But at the same time, I havenā€™t been able to do a lot of things with coronavirus which has made this a very different summer. Overall, I have many memories from these past few months and I canā€™t wait to share them soon. As one month ends, itā€™s time for another currently update! Hereā€™s a look into the past month.

What Iā€™m up to: This  month has been about all the lasts before school is back in session for my brothers, although I wonā€™t be heading back into the classroom, it definitely feels like summer is winding down and itā€™s time to get all the last minute things done like ice cream nights, day trips, barbecues and late nights. Iā€™m trying to spend as much time outside as I can before itā€™s back inside for fall and winter.

What Iā€™m wearing: I have been trying to wear all the bright colors before summer is over, hello yellows and blues and pinks and greens. Also, since I have been upping my workout routine I got some new gym clothes and that has given me even more motivation to work harder in the gym.

A snap shot from work but just an example of a bright color I am wearing

What Iā€™m reading: My reading goal for this summer will not be met. I have read some really goo books this summer but havenā€™t been disciplined at just reading. I am hoping with colder weather coming I will be more inclined to curl up with a book on my days off. My summer book review is coming soon!!

What Iā€™m Watching: Iā€™m still watching 30 Rock as a do work or get ready for the day. It is one of my summer goals to finish it but we will see if I can make that happen. I am almost done watching The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. It has been a great thing to watch at the end of the day, itā€™s funny, itā€™s serious, itā€™s something light and a great summer show to watch before my  fall shows hopefully come back soonā€¦

What Iā€™m Loving: I have been loving working out, I started going to a gym when I started my job back in the winter and I loved going, then coronavirus hit. Now, I have been back in the gym, five days a week since they reopened at the end of June and I am loving it. I can feel myself get stringer each time and itā€™s the best way to start my day.

What Inspires Me: I have been inspired by all things fresh and clean. There is nothing better than having a clean desk at the end of the day or marking everything off your to do list. I also have been inspired to be more intentional with my time. I am good with the big things like working out or catching up with family or friends on the phone but when it comes to the little things Iā€™m not so good with it. For example, I donā€™t have time to read a book but I can scroll on facebook for an hourā€¦I am inspired to work harder with my time.

What I accomplished: I have accomplished a lot of summer bucket list items and getting a lot of one on one time with family and friends. On my days off I love to spend some extra time with my younger brothers before they head back to school. I also try to do bi-weekly facetime calls with friends besides texting daily. There is nothing better than seeing some friends virtually and really devoting time to family and friends one on one.

Goals Accomplished from Last Month: I have done a really good at feeling productive especially on my days off or before I go to work. I always have a daily to do list of both work and fun and I love checking things off of it. I also got a lot of time outside which was awesome and I checked even more things off my bucket list for the summer.

Cutting fresh flowers and being outside is something I will miss about summer

Goals for the New Month: I want to be able to spend the last few weeks of summer outside as much as I can especially when it comes to grilling and swimming and just being outside. I also want to get more reading in, I feel like I have been doing great with balancing, work, family, relaxing, gym, tv etc. But if I can get a little bit more reading in I would love it.

Thatā€™s just a look into this past month, checking things off the to do list while also making lots of summer memories. For example, I had ice cream twice in one day because why not its summer?! Hereā€™s to enjoying the last few weeks of it. What are you looking forward to getting done in the next few weeks?!

Another month is winding down which means itā€™s time for another currently, update. For those, just joining, once a month, I have a post about what Iā€™m currently up to, from what Iā€™m loving, what Iā€™m looking forward and whatā€™s new. I will have the same questions from month to month but besides that I will have a few new questions and will recap some old ones too. To see last monthā€™s post, you can click here. Now, letā€™s see whatā€™s new in February.Ā

What Iā€™m up to: I finally am into a good routine and schedule with work. When Iā€™m at work, all my attention and mindset is related to work, but on my days off, itā€™s so nice to not have to worry about work or even school anymore. With that being said, Iā€™m still on the look for more hobbies or things to get me occupied on my days off.

What Iā€™m wearing: Dare I say, spring is on its way?! Although, itā€™s still cold, we have had a mild winter so far, Iā€™ve been mixing up my outfits for work. Whenever, Iā€™m planning out my clothes for the week, I always keep in mind, wearing something that is comfortable, practical and professional. Every day is different for me, therefore, being flexible with my outfit choice is key.

What Iā€™m reading: Iā€™m still reading the series, ā€œThe Walkā€ and Iā€™m halfway through, be on the lookout for the full recap coming in March. Itā€™s taken me a while but Iā€™m making my way through it.

What Iā€™m Watching: I just finished season 3 of The Crown and it was so good. I canā€™t wait until the next season comes out. Also, the new season of Outlander is finally out. Itā€™s been over a year since it aired and Iā€™m so happy that itā€™s back and better than ever. I also started watching Evil on CBS, itā€™s definitely dark but it keeps you on the edge of your seat.

What Iā€™m Loving: Iā€™m really loving my life right now. Yes, work can get stressful but I know itā€™s what Iā€™m meant to do and I love every day. Plus, coming home to my family and dogs every day and meeting new people from work and making new friends is great too.

What Inspires Me: I saw this quote the other day and I loved it. It really shows how incredible life is, there may be good and bad moments, but they all contribute to who we are and our stories. I loved the quote so much that I made it the background on my phone.

What I accomplished: Iā€™m so happy with my new routine that I have gotten in place, I finally have a good work and life balance that I have been looking for. Iā€™m making sure I have time for friends, family, work, and myself.

Goals Accomplished from Last Month: I finally got back into a good gym routine. Iā€™m back at the gym 5 days a week, during my work week and days off. I feel better when I am working out and Iā€™ve made some changes with my workout routine which I have been seeing better results.

Goals for the New Month: Iā€™m going to be seeing some of my college friends next week and I couldnā€™t be happier. Then I have more plans to see friends from college later this month. I keep in touch with some of my close friends in college daily, whether itā€™s through facetime or texting or phone calls, but it will be so good to see some of my best friends in person. I canā€™t wait!

Thatā€™s a look into my life right now. Lots of work, some family time, a few visits with friends but overall, lots of happiness.
