Look of the Day #91

LOTD

Hi Guys!

Happy Thursday or TGIT, am I right?!

Iā€™m so ready for the weekend! Iā€™m heading home for the weekend for a much needed break and vacation. Iā€™m doing some traveling over Spring Break, so I wonā€™t be home then, therefore, I am taking a weekend off to spend time with family and relax. More on my spring break adventures next week! Not only am I looking forward to seeing family but also for the Oscars! Is anyone planning on watching?! Awards season is my favorite time of year! Haha!Ā

Now, moving on to todayā€™s look of the day. The weather this month has been all over the place, some days itā€™s cold and snowy, other days its warm and rainy, it has been such weird weather to dress for. This outfit is perfect for these weird days, warm for cold mornings but cool for warm afternoons. Letā€™s get to the details.

Warm and cozy for February

Iā€™m wearing my go-to jeans with this outfit, my regular straight legged jeans get so much use in the fall and winter. I love how you can wear them with shoe boots, heels, or flats. So versatile! I got my pair from Old Navy, no better place to get affordable jeans. I decided to pair them with my black leather shoe boots. These shoe boots are from Marshalls from several years ago, they are so comfortable and can go with so many things.Ā

Cooler outfit for the warmer weather

This top is one of my favorite things to wear in my wardrobe when I need a change in the winter. I got this top from Francescaā€™s Boutique. I shared this top in a dressier outfit here. Todayā€™s outfit is more casual. I love how the top can dress up an outfit, also it works great for transitional weather.

I decided to accessorize this outfit with the gold and blue drop earrings which are a simple accessory but add a lot to an outfit.

Up close of the earrings and blouse

This blue wool coat is worn on repeat in the winter months. I got this coat from Old Navy and it is perfect to wear with an all blue outfit or for a more of a dressier outfit. This scarf is also the perfect accessory for this blue winter coat. I got this scarf for Christmas and I love how warm and soft it is and the colors of pink, white, and blue work great with the blue jacket.

Scarf and coat details

I love how these are all unique pieces but they work together. I hope this gives you some inspiration for mixing and matching pieces for the transitional weather.

I hope you have a great weekend. See you next Tuesday!

Look of the Day #90

Hello All!

Happy Valentineā€™s day! Whether you are celebrating with a boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, the girls, or even if you are single like myself I hope you take some time to enjoy this holiday if you celebrate it. I also hope you can spread some love to those around you and you get some love sent your direction.Ā

Todayā€™s outfit is perfect for Valentineā€™s Day with the perfect pink top. I love this outfit because it is perfect for a job interview, or day at the office. While I was home for Christmas break, I did some job shadowing and I wore this outfit.

I also got my headshots updated last week and I wore this outfit which was perfect for a professional photo to hopefully jumpstart my career. Letā€™s get into the details about where you can find this outfit without breaking the bank.

New headshots for senior year
Close up head shot-so happy with how they turned out
All dressed up for a day at the office

I got these dress pants from Old Navy believe it or not?! I was on the hunt for a pair of straight cut dress pants and after looking all over town, I found them at Old Navy at a great price. Last summer I was on the hunt for black dress pants. I was searching in stores and online but everything that kept coming up were tight and looked more like leggings. I really was looking for a more professional look and a straight leg. After numerous searches, I finally found these dress pants at Old Navy believe it or not. Not only do they fit to size and look professional, but they are also so comfortable. I have worn them a few other occasions and they are a must have for your collection.

I also wanted a nice sweater to go with my dress pants and I knew a light cardigan would go perfect with the top. I got this black one from Old Navy on sale. I have worn it with jeans and dress pants as well as dresses. Itā€™s a wonderful, versatile sweater that is perfect for a grown womenā€™s professional collection. It not only keeps you warm, but it also looks put together.Ā

My statement piece for this outfit is this fun pink top from Francescaā€™s Boutique. I know I have shared this top on here before, but I love the color and how you can truly dress it up with dress pants or a skirt and you can also pair it with jeans or leggings for a more casual look.

Lastly, my shoes are my favorite shoe boots that I wear all the time since they are comfortable and reliable.

I also have to share about my Michael Kors purse. I got it for my 16thbirthday. I use it for any job interview or shadowing as well as big meetings. It looks professional and it has a lot of storage to hold everything you need for a day at work.

A perfect look for job interviews and shadowing

I hope this inspires you to look outside of the box when it comes to shopping for professional clothing. Have a sweet and love filled Valentineā€™s Day. Sending you lots of love today and every day!

XOXO

Look of the Day #87

LOTD

Hello everyone! Happy Thursday! I hope you have had productive weeks and are ready for the weekend. I am working this weekend, so I hope I can get ahead on some school work while Iā€™m working. Like I mentioned last week, while I was home for Christmas break, I had several events that I had to dress up for and I managed to get some cute pictures too!

Once again, matching with mom for the holidays!

Todayā€™s outfit is a very functional outfit. It works both for a professional look but also a dressed up look. I wore this on Christmas Eve while attending Mass with my family. It was a cold Christmas Eve so I opted for a warmer outfit. I have also worn this outfit while doing presentations at school and interviews. This outfit is not only functional, professional, and comfortable.

Excuse the mirror selfies but an up close look of the outfit

Ā I got this silver top from Francescaā€™s Boutique. I love the shimmer and sparkle and also the fact that it is light weight. Itā€™s perfect for all seasons but goes great with black for the long winter months. I wore a matching necklace and earrings with it to bring out the black and silver colors.Ā

For the colder days, a light cardigan would go perfect with the top. I got this black on from Old Navy on sale. I have worn it with jeans and dress pants as well as dresses. Itā€™s a wonderful, versatile sweater that is perfect for a grown womenā€™s professional collection.Ā

A cute short black jacket to wear on a cold day out and about

Lastly, I have to rave about these dress pants. Last summer I was on the hunt for black dress pants. I was searching in stores and online but everything that kept coming up were tight and looked more like leggings. I really was looking for a more professional look and a straight leg. After numerous searches, I finally found these dress pants at Old Navy believe it or not. Not only do they fit to size and look professional but they are also so so comfortable. For example, on Christmas Eve after I came home from Mass with my family I helped prep, cook, eat and clean up dinner, spending hours in the kitchen and moving around wearing this outfit and I was so comfortable. I have worn them a few other occasions and they are a must have for your collection.Ā

Last but not least I have to share my favorite black pumps. These are my go-to for dresses, skirts, and dress pants. Every girl should have a pair of black pumps in the closet. A timeless classic.

I hope this gives you inspiration to look at other stores when it comes to looking for professional clothing. I will definitely be rewearing or mixing and matching this outfit a lot in the next few months. Have a wonderful weekend and stay warm!

Look of the Day #86

LOTD

Hi All!

Happy Thursday! For those of you who went back to school this week, congratulations, you made it through your first week back from break. These next few weeks of school are going to be busy for me. I have a lot of work commitments planned for the next few weekends then itā€™s lots of fun things. Work then play is what I always say.

When I was home over break, I had a few outings planned so I put together several fun outfits to share with you all these next few weeks. Letā€™s begin!

A few days before Christmas, my family and I headed out to a family Christmas party. I wore a similar version of this outfit last year for a night out in the city, you can see it here. I made a few changes with my hair, makeup, and shoes, so I thought I would update this look.Ā

Perfect for a holiday party or a girls night out

Letā€™s start with this top. I am obsessed with this deep red, lace top. I got it from Francescaā€™s Boutique. It has open shoulder sleeves which are very much in style this season. This top is very versatile. It can be worn with a pair of blue jeans, a black skirt or how I am wearing them tonight, with a pair of black jeans. It was a bit chilly out, so I wore a short black jacket to top the outfit off.

I am wearing my favorite skinny jeans. These black and ripped at the knee jeans are from Francescaā€™s Boutique. I have worn them previously in the fall with a short sleeve top, but since I was going out, I decided to dress these jeans up. I got this Michael Kors belt from Marshalls on sale. You never know what you will find at Marshalls. They always have great deals.

I decided to hair my high black boots with this look. Since it was chilly when I wore this, I wanted to be warm and I wanted to give it a different feel.

As far as hair and makeup go, I opted to straighten my hair, I recently got my hair cut and layered more and I am loving the shorter do. I always have had long hair but through college I have gotten it cut shorter and layered and I really like the length that it is at right now. I have also found I have more volume with it being shorter and itā€™s easier to manage and style as well. Itā€™s safe to say the short hair is here to stay.Ā

Mom and decided to match with the Burgundy and black look.

I finished off my outfit with gold jewelry and darker makeup due to the darker outfit. I always like to change up my look when I rewear outfits. What is your favorite way to change an outfit when you wear it for different times?

Have a great weekend and I will see you next Tuesday as we talk about out fitness goals (originally it was going to be this week but I decided to change up my schedule a bit). See you then!

Look of the Day #73

Hello All!

Happy Thursday!

Today, is a very good day as tomorrow is fall break. The first half of the semester has been very busy, so I am looking forward to having some much-needed time off. In the midst of midterms and papers, I keep reminiscing about my Ed Sheeran concert last week. One of my favorite souvenirs to get at a concert are the t-shits! They are a good reminder of the event and you can wear them often. When I have gone to concerts in the past and I get t shirts, I really like to make a whole outfit of it not just a regular t-shirt.

Turning a t-shirt into an outfit

Todayā€™s look of the day is dressing up a t-shirt into a cute outfit. The statement piece of this outfit is obviously my Ed Sheeran t-shirt. I opted for the white t-shirt instead of a black one to break up the colors.

Since it is fall and the weather is cooler, I decided to wear a pair of straight cut jeans, yes, the same ones from the concert, they are not only comfortable, but you can dress them or down. I got my jeans from Old Navy.

I added some brown hues to my wardrobe with my boots and jacket. These peep toe brown boots are perfect for fall, especially when the weather is cool in the morning but warm in the afternoon. I got these boots for an affordable price at T.J. Maxx.

Since my concert shirt is short sleeves, I knew a jacket was a must. I wore this brown leather jacket from Francescaā€™s to finish off my outfit. It not only kept me warm, but it was also stylish.

This was just one way to wear a concert t-shirt. I did go to a few other concerts this past summer, so I will be showing you other ways to wear this look.

Iā€™m off to wrap up my last few classes before it is officially fall break! I am counting down the minutes.

Have a fall-tastic weekend!

Happy Thursday!

I hope you all have a had a good week. My week was very productive, and this weekend will be busy due to working this weekend. So, remember when I said I couldnā€™t wait for fall weather? Well, I got my wish. It has been so rainy and chilly that it definitely felt like fall, which I am very happy about. This outfit is perfect for transitioning from summer to fall. I love mixing a short sleeve top with jeans. I wore this outfit to class and then a dinner last week and I loved it so much I had to share it. You may recognize this outfit as it was one that I had planned ahead for. Planning my outfits have been so helpful especially on busy mornings.

A perfect outfit transitioning to fall

So, lets break this look down.

These are my favorite regular cut jeans from Old Navy. I love the cut and style and they are perfect for fall, since you can still wear a flat or cute shoe as well as a pair of peep toe boots. Ā These suede saddle shoes are from GAP.I love not only the color but how light they are. They can be worn in spring, summer, and fall. I love shoes that can be worn in many seasons.

Lastly, this top is from Francescaā€™s Boutique. I have had it for a few years and always like to bring it out to change out my wardrobe. I love the detailing on the top. It truly makes it a fun piece of clothing to add to a pair of jeans. This top would also be great with dress pants for a day in the office.

This outfit was perfect for fall weather, when itā€™s cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon.

I canā€™t wait for fall weather to set in full time, until then I will continue to transitioning my outfits.

Have a great weekend and go out and enjoy this fall weather.

Look of the Day #69

LOTD

Happy Thursday friends!

Thursdays are my favorite day of the weekā€¦want to know why? Because the week is almost over and there is only one more day till the weekend. Speaking of the weekend, I am getting excited for the weekend with the help of this cute outfit. By this point, you all know how I love to mix and match outfits. I love to mix and match more than I like buying new stuffā€¦almost. I love coming up with different looks and create new outfits with things I already have in my closet. Who doesnā€™t like to show off a new outfit without spending a penny?

Letā€™s get to the details.

All smiles for the weekend

Last week, I talked about transiting my wardrobe from summer to fall, although it is still very warm outside, I am starting to wear darker colors to start getting in the fall mood. The colors I chose for my outfit are burgundy and black, even though I am in shorts and a short sleeve shirt, it still felt like a good mix of fall and summer.

I got this Fri-Yay shirt from Francescaā€™s Boutique. It is such a staple in my closet especially on Fridays when I have plans for the weekend. This black top can go with any outfit whether it is jeans, shorts, or leggings. Iā€™m obsessed.

These scalloped shorts are also from Francescaā€™s Boutique, I have worn them a lot of this summer and last summer and I loved how well they worked with this top. The colors blended so well.

There was a bit of a chill in the air so I wore this long black sweater to keep warm, and I love the fall(ish) look it added to my outfit. I got this sweater from Tilly’s.Ā

For shoes, I put on my favorite black sneakers. I got mine from Target and wore them a lot this summer but Iā€™m looking forward to wearing them in the fall even more. Not only are they comfortable but also stylish.

I donā€™t often post selfies, but I wanted to show off my burgundy choker and how it complements my shorts.

Thatā€™s the latest out I am wearing. I know it may seem crazy but Iā€™m really looking forward to some cooler weather so I can really get into the fall mood.

Happy fri-yay

Have a fantastic weekend!
