Vacation Looks

Hey guys! I hope your week is off to a great start.

Last week, I shared my family’s trip to Hershey…most of the photos consisted of places we visited and the food I enjoyed…I wasn’t the best blogger on vacation haha. But I did manage to get a few shots of a few of my outfits to show what I wore on vacation.

It was a mix of casual/play clothes and a few dresses for dinner or walking around. Here’s a look at what I wore and where I got it from.

On our first full day I wore this outfit for mini golf and the park at night.

I got this graphic tee that says “Ciao Bella” from Gap in the spring and this trip was the first time I got to wear it. I love the soft material and since it’s white it can be worn with any solid pair of shorts, from pink, to blue, even white!

I decided to wear this shirt with blue eyelet shorts that I got from Old Navy. I also have them in white too, which I love! When I find something I love, I have no problem buying it in other colors.

In the morning, it was cool to start the day so I wore my jean jacket to keep me warm. My jean jacket is from Old Navy too!

I finished the look off with a pair of Nike sneakers.

One of the night’s we went out to dinner on the property of the hotel. I got this dress last summer when we went away for a few days. I bought it from Old Navy. I love the bright colors and the island feel the dress gives.

Out to dinner outfit

My shoes are my favorite go-to nude wedges. I love to wear them dressing up sundresses or with a pair of capris and a blouse. I got them a few years ago from DSW.

The bright colors scream summer, it’s a light t-shirt dress, so the material is super soft too.

It was a bit chilly when we went out to dinner so I brought my jean jacket along.

Here’s how the outfit looks with the jean jacket. Since the dress is pattern, the solid jean jacket worked well.

Another night we went out to dinner and we dressed up a bit more. I got this pink dress pre-Covid so I couldn’t wait for an opportunity to wear it.

Here’s a look at the front

I got it from Marshall’s and there’s so many things that make it a great dress. First, the bright pink is perfect for summer. It’s a thinner material which makes it breathable in the summer months. It can be dressed up or down. I wore it with wedges out to dinner but I have also worn it to a best friend’s bridal shower for a more formal occasion. I also think this could work as a dress to wear at a wedding. I love the style, with the high neck and the buttons down the back is super classy.

These were just a few looks from my vacation that I loved. I obviously wore more outfits out to the park and to dinner but these were some new looks and my favorites.

I also like to bring clothes that are staples that can be worn with different outfits. For example, bringing a jean jacket and wedges that can be worn with multiple outfits. It saves room in your suitcase and it allows you to be creative with your outfits.

Look of the Day #123

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! This has been a busy week but I am ready for the weekend. It’s my school’s homecoming weekend so I am very excited to see old friends, spend time with family and get in the school spirit for the weekend. It will be a fun time. Before I get to all the fun this weekend, I want to share an outfit that I wore last week and immediately fell in love with it and had to share!

This outfit is perfect for meetings and presentations and going to class and even good for a day at the office. 

This last semester has been a very busy one, between classes, work, meetings and applying for jobs, every day is different. I like to choose outfits that can be versatile for the day, no matter what I am doing. 

Ready for the day.

I got these dress pants from The Limited. I love that they are comfortable and wash well but also are a dress pant. I do have a lot of black in my wardrobe, so the navy blue breaks up my style. 

I opted for a simple white shirt for my top. I got this top from GAP, and I love the material and how it still looks new after several washes. White and black shirts are a must in my closet.

I decided to add a pop of color to my outfit with this red blazer. I love this blazer because you can wear it in any season, its light for summer, warm for fall, festive for winter and Christmas and then bright for spring. It can also dress up a dress, dress pants or a skirt. I love to wear it when I need to change up what I have been wearing. 

I added suede shoe boots for this outfit to get into the fall spirit, plus it also adds height to my outfit. I got these shoe boots from Shoe Carnival and they have held up so well through the years. 

I decided to finish off my outfit with silver jewelry and red lipstick with neutral makeup to match the jacket.

Overall, this outfit was chic and effortless to pull off. It worked perfect for days when I had a lot going on and it worked for every function I had to attend.

Look of the Day #111

Hi guys and gals!

We are almost to the weekend. I can’t believe we are already in the middle of July! Summer slow down! After the short week last week with the Fourth of July, I am back into a routine of summer. 

Today’s outfit is one that I’m very excited for! I firmly believe all girls should have a little black dress in the collection. It doesn’t have to be super fancy or flashy, but something simple and elegant, and can be worn for a date night, dressed up look, or office wear. 

Hello Little Black Dress

I got this little black dress from Old Navy on sale, I never would have guessed I would find this there, but I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!

I opted for an all black look. I wore a high black heel, not only to make my legs look longer (haha) but also to make the dress more formal. I wear these for formal occasions, and got this pair at Marshalls! 

I then opted for add a monogrammed clutch from Marley Lilly to the ensemble.

The outfit is put together and can be worn to so many places without breaking the bank. As a college student transitioning to young adult life, I believe you can look good and put together without breaking the bank. If you look good, then you will feel good!

Look of the Day #95

Hey guys!! 

Happy Thursday! I hope you have had a great week! With March more than half way done, we are getting closer and closer to warmer, spring weather. I’ve already been on the lookout for spring clothing and accessories. One thing that I have seen in a lot of stores are bold, floral patterns. I’ve already picked up a few pieces that I can’t wait to incorporate into my spring and summer wardrobe. Even though Spring is on my mind, I still have a few more outfits that are geared towards transitional weather. Today’s look of the day is more on the casual side but with a pop of business casual. Let’s get to this preppy look. 

Modern yet classic style for today’s look of the day

Starting with the jeans. I love these boot cut jeans from Old Navy. I’m currently keeping my eyes open for a pair of jean capris or skinny jeans. Until then, I am sticking to my regular cut jeans, and boot cut jeans for the remaining weeks of colder weather. 

I love to dress up jeans or add a pop of color with a pair of dark jeans. However, with today’s outfit I wanted to go with neutral colors and tones. I decided to go add just a plain white long sleeve shirt. I got my plain white shirt from Gap. I love the quality of their clothing for a good price. There is nothing like a crisp white shirt and a pair of navy jeans to make a simple outfit look clean and preppy.

Since the weather is still chilly, I wore my high black boots when I was out and about. Although, these have been my go-to shoes for the winter, I am looking forward to bringing in some lighter and brighter shoes for the spring and summer. 

I decided to polish off this look with a navy blazer. Not going to lie, I borrowed this from my mom’s closet and never returned it…opps! What can I say, it’s a very good quality blazer, that is well fitted and can work with many outfits. You can wear it with dresses, skirts, dress pants, and jeans. This blazer is from Talbots, it is more of a traditional or classic women’s clothing store, the clothing never goes out of style. For this outfit, I opted for more of a casual look, wearing it with jeans and a white shirt. I’m looking forward to wearing it with more professional pieces of clothing in the future.

Look of the Day #60

Happy Thursday!

I promise I have some fun in the sun outfits coming up soon, but for now another formal, business casual look is up for today. This is just a peak into my summer…high hopes for fun in the sun but in reality, a lot of work. Although, I have no complaints, I actually enjoy getting dressed up for work and mixing and matching outfits. I love to put together outfits that I already have in my wardrobe.

Today’s look is no different, I had this dress for several years now, but this look was one of the first few times I paired it with these accessories. Let’s get started.

Amazing how you can transform a white dress

I got this white eyelet dress from Old Navy about five or six years ago-yes, I have had it for a while and it still is a great summer dress. Also, I always rave about Old Navy’s clothes and this is just another testament to their good quality when it comes to how their clothes are made. I have worn this dress to Sunday Mass, graduations, summer parties, and to work. A very versatile dress, if I do say so myself.

Due to this dress being simple and white, I knew I had to spruce it up with some color. That’s where this blue cardigan and orange necklace came in. I chose the blue crop sweater (also from Old Navy) because I wanted to break up with white and I knew it would be a bit chilly. The blue laid perfectly on white dress and I really loved the preppy look it gave off.

I chose the orange necklace as a bold statement piece against the white and it did not disappoint. I loved the unique style and I think it truly tied the outfit together with the blue and white. i too, got this necklace from Old Navy.

Lastly, I wore a pair of my favorite nude wedges to cap off the outfit. I got them from DSW a few years back and they have held up strong. You can’t go wrong with a nude shoe!

Overall, I was very happy with how this outfit turned out. When I chose this outfit, I just had the dress in mind and I was so glad I had the accessories around. This outfit came from my closet and costed $0!!

Look of the Day #43

Happy Thursday! Another week is almost in the books. It’s crazy to think we are almost through March.

Today’s look of the day is a bit more formal. While I was home for Spring break, I went out for the night. I wanted something that was dressy but still warm since we were hit once again with snow. This outfit not only works for a night out but for Sunday mass, or even a day in the office.

Outfit for a night out!

I got this blue top with gold and silver designs from Francesca’ s Boutique a few years ago. I usually wear it with dress pants or a skirt, I have worn it with jeans, but I like to wear it more formally and dressed up.

I got these blue dress pants from The Limited. I got them a few years ago and they have worked out great for dress pants. Their navy-blue color makes them easy to pair with other tops. They are also superior quality, so I know I cam depend on having them for a while.

I wore a pair of nude patent leather heels to top off the outfit. I got them from  DSW a few years back. I strongly recommend that every woman own a pair of nude shoes, whether they be flats, heels or wedges. They are a must have in any wardrobe. They can go with any outfit and are very versatile. I have worn these heels with homecoming dresses, skirts, dress pants, and in every season. Plus, they are super comfortable. Win-Win!!

I made the decision to change up my hairstyle for Spring. I’ve been having fun trying new styles and dos with shorter hair. If you have any suggestions for short hair, please let me know!
