Vacation Looks

Hey guys! I hope your week is off to a great start.

Last week, I shared my familyā€™s trip to Hersheyā€¦most of the photos consisted of places we visited and the food I enjoyedā€¦I wasnā€™t the best blogger on vacation haha. But I did manage to get a few shots of a few of my outfits to show what I wore on vacation.

It was a mix of casual/play clothes and a few dresses for dinner or walking around. Hereā€™s a look at what I wore and where I got it from.

On our first full day I wore this outfit for mini golf and the park at night.

I got this graphic tee that says “Ciao Bella” from Gap in the spring and this trip was the first time I got to wear it. I love the soft material and since it’s white it can be worn with any solid pair of shorts, from pink, to blue, even white!

I decided to wear this shirt with blue eyelet shorts that I got from Old Navy. I also have them in white too, which I love! When I find something I love, I have no problem buying it in other colors.

In the morning, it was cool to start the day so I wore my jean jacket to keep me warm. My jean jacket is from Old Navy too!

I finished the look off with a pair of Nike sneakers.

Here’s a look with the same outfit with the jean jacket.

One of the night’s we went out to dinner on the property of the hotel. I got this dress last summer when we went away for a few days. I bought it from Old Navy. I love the bright colors and the island feel the dress gives.

Out to dinner outfit

My shoes are my favorite go-to nude wedges. I love to wear them dressing up sundresses or with a pair of capris and a blouse. I got them a few years ago from DSW.

The bright colors scream summer, it’s a light t-shirt dress, so the material is super soft too.

It was a bit chilly when we went out to dinner so I brought my jean jacket along.

Here’s how the outfit looks with the jean jacket. Since the dress is pattern, the solid jean jacket worked well.

Another night we went out to dinner and we dressed up a bit more. I got this pink dress pre-Covid so I couldn’t wait for an opportunity to wear it.

Here’s a look at the front

I got it from Marshall’s and there’s so many things that make it a great dress. First, the bright pink is perfect for summer. It’s a thinner material which makes it breathable in the summer months. It can be dressed up or down. I wore it with wedges out to dinner but I have also worn it to a best friend’s bridal shower for a more formal occasion. I also think this could work as a dress to wear at a wedding. I love the style, with the high neck and the buttons down the back is super classy.

And a look at the back

These were just a few looks from my vacation that I loved. I obviously wore more outfits out to the park and to dinner but these were some new looks and my favorites.

I also like to bring clothes that are staples that can be worn with different outfits. For example, bringing a jean jacket and wedges that can be worn with multiple outfits. It saves room in your suitcase and it allows you to be creative with your outfits.

What have been your go-to outfits for summer so far? What stores are you having luck at? Let me know below! Have the best rest of your week!

Look of the Day #96

LOTD

Hi everyone!

Happy, happy Thursday! I hope you all had a great week. Itā€™s crazy how fast this week went by. I am headed home for the weekend to see my family since I havenā€™t seen them since coming back from Rome. It will be nice to relax for a bit since I have been going non-stop these past few weeks.

Last weekend, I went to a semi-formal dance with my friends from school. It was the last one for me and so many friends since they are graduating in May and Iā€™ll be graduating in December. My good friend Bailey and I made a weekend out of it and had the best time. We started out with dinner, hung out with friends, went to the dance, and hit up the gym and breakfast the next day. It was by far one of my favorite weekends of the year. I wanted to share the details of my outfit for todayā€™s look of the day. I canā€™t wait to share this more formal look with you all.Ā

Starting out night out with the dance
I don’t know what I would do without this girl. Truly the best friend I could ask for!
My friend Danielle was also at the dance and we had a blast dancing the night away
Bailey and I along with our friend Olivia hit up the gym early the next morning
Followed by brunch, I love these girls to death, not sure what I’m going do without them next year.

I have been going to all my semi-formals in college and I havenā€™t bought one dress, Iā€™ve reworn all the dresses from past homecomings or other formal occasions. I will admit, I look much better in the dresses in college than I do in high school, itā€™s amazing what a few years can do. HA! Hereā€™s a look down memory laneā€¦

First, letā€™s start with the dress. I got this dress a few years back and I wore it for Christmas. I loved it when I wore it then and I was so excited to wear it again. The cream-colored dress was perfect for spring and the scalloped neckline was my favorite part of the dress, not to mention the unique material. I got this dress from Francescaā€™s Boutique.

All ready for a night out

Since the dress is very simple, I knew I needed a few pops of color, that came in the form of my red shoes, jewelry and makeup accents.

Up close of the dress

I got these red pumps from DSW last year and although they arenā€™t my go-to shoes, they are great to have to add a pop of color to an outfit. I got them last year to wear with my all black dress I wore for Christmas, you can see that outfit here.  I always think itā€™s important to have a fun shoe to add a pop of color to a neutral outfit.

I also opted for a bit of colors in my jewelry. Since the neckline was unique, I didnā€™t want anything overpowering.

I also made the decision to wear more neutral make up but add a pop of color with my lip choice of a bright red. I wanted the accent color of red to stand out without being too over powering.

I always love the opportunity to dress up for a fun night out and last weekend was the best. After a busy week, Iā€™m looking forward to a quiet weekend at home. See you all on Tuesday!

Look of the day #52

LOTD

Hello All!

Itā€™s officially the start of summer (or work season for me)! This will be a busy summer for me as I will be doing an internship and working part time. I’m super excited to learn new things and be exposed to new experiences!Ā  Due to these jobs, I will be working in a professional setting and I will be wearing a lot of business casual outfits this summer. The next few looks I will be sharing will be geared towards a business style.

It’s all about looking professional today on the blog.

Today, is my first professional attire look, I got these navy blue, dress pants from The Limited. I love how they can go with any bold blouse, sweater set, or cardigan. Ā The length on them works great if you want to pair either a ballet flat, small pump or stiletto with them. The quality is also long lasting, I have had them for a few years and have worn them on numerous occasions.

Along with the blue dress pants, I am wearing a bold pink and navy-blue top alongside the pants. I wanted to break up the solid pattern with my pants. I got this silky long sleeve top from Francescaā€™s Boutique. Previously, I have worn this top with cotton skirts, leggings, and even jeans, it is so versatile. I personally like to wear this top with business looks, but it never hurts to mix it with other outfits.

Lastly, I wanted to rave about these navy-blue pumps I am rocking on my feet. I got them from DSW, several years ago. I donā€™t wear them too often since I typically wear black or brown shoes, but I love how these neutral shoes really break up my outfit.

Thatā€™s a peak into my closet today on the more formal side of things. If there is ever a look you want to see styled. Let me know in the comments below! I am always open to new ideas and styles. Have the best weekend!!
