We are almost to the weekend. I can’t believe we are already in the middle of July! Summer slow down! After the short week last week with the Fourth of July, I am back into a routine of summer.
Today’s outfit is one that I’m very excited for! I firmly believe all girls should have a little black dress in the collection. It doesn’t have to be super fancy or flashy, but something simple and elegant, and can be worn for a date night, dressed up look, or office wear.
Hello Little Black Dress
I got this little black dress from Old Navy on sale, I never would have guessed I would find this there, but I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!
I opted for an all black look. I wore a high black heel, not only to make my legs look longer (haha) but also to make the dress more formal. I wear these for formal occasions, and got this pair at Marshalls!
I then opted for add a monogrammed clutch from Marley Lilly to the ensemble.

The outfit is put together and can be worn to so many places without breaking the bank. As a college student transitioning to young adult life, I believe you can look good and put together without breaking the bank. If you look good, then you will feel good!

Happy Thursday and more importantly, Happy Fourth of July! Today is such a special day not only to remember those you gave their lives for our country. They paid the ultimate price for our freedom. The Fourth of July is one of my favorite summer holidays. My family and I always throw a big picnic with swimming, grilling, and family. What more could you ask for?!

Today’s look of the day is so versatile, you can wear it to a casual Friday at the office, a low-key dinner get together, or even a more dressier picnic. If you have been following my blog for a while, you know how much I love to wear outfits on more than one occasion.
I love these white capris. Perfect for an early day at work, family barbecues, drinks with the girls, or a day shopping. I got these at American Eagle a few years back and I have gotten so many uses out of them, truly one of the best purchases from American Eagle.
This blue and white blouse is from Old Navy that I got on sale. I have worn it to work before with dress pants, but I love how it looks dressed down with capris. I may even try a pair of white shorts with it.
Lastly, these slip-on shoes have been my go-to for the summer. They really add a pop to any outfit you are wearing and they are comfortable. I got this pair at Marshalls. I love all the unique things I find there.

Hi All! It’s Thursday, one more day until the weekend!!! We almost made it. What fun things do you have planned for the weekend ahead? I hope it’s filled with relaxing and time spent doing something fun, it is summer after all!
I’m changing up today’s look of the day. The past few weeks have been filled with lots of business casual clothes, but I do have a few cute summer outfits for the weekends and evenings.
I went shopping last week and put together this outfit featuring different shades of blue. The weather was in the 70’s but overcast and this outfit did the trick for the different weather.
All blue everywhere
I opted for a pair of jeans with the ankles cuffed for more of a summer look. I wanted to wear denim, but I didn’t want a full leg of jeans, therefore I cuffed them, and they worked perfect! My jeans are from my go-to place for jeans, Old Navy!
I decided to wear this light-almost sky-blue t-shirt from Gap. I love how the top made the jeans feel lighter. Since this is a short sleeve top, I threw on a navy-blue sweater to tie in the two shades of blue. I got this light sweater from Target a few years back. It’s perfect for those cool mornings or evenings.
Since I have three different blues being worn here, I wanted to have an accessory that tied them all together…enter this scarf/bandana/headband. I got it from Old Navy at the beginning of the season. You may recognize the pattern from my dress I wore for Easter.
I love how it ties the whole outfit together, you can wear this accessory as a scarf, tie it to your purse, or wear it like a headband. I opted for the headband look and was so happy with how it turned out.
I decided to wear a simple pair of sandals to accessorize my outfit.
Lastly, I’m using my Longchamp bag to hold everything I need when I am out and about. This is my go-to purse for everyday use. It is big, holds everything I need and is durable. Although pricey, I think it’s totally worth it.

Hello all! Happy Thursday, I am wrapping up finals week. This week has flown by, I have been able to catch up with friends, make memories and wrap up the semester. I will be moving back home this weekend where I will be for the summer. On Tuesday, I will be sharing my semester recap-one of my favorite posts, but until then I have a look of the day that is all about spring, pastel colors. I love to add color to my outfits any chance I get, and this outfit was the perfect opportunity to channel all the spring vibes.
All Set for Spring
When I wore this outfit, I was running errands and wanted something comfortable but also chic. I got this mint green top from Francesca’s Boutique a few years back. I love how it is so versatile. I typically wear it dressed up with dress pants or a skirt, but it can be worn with jeans or leggings as well. This color is perfect for the spring and summer months, I also love that you can layer it if necessary. A long or short sweater would go perfectly with this combo.
I opted for a pair of skinny black leggings with the bold, bright top. Gap is always my go-to for long-lasting durable leggings.
My shoes are my favorite part of my outfit. I got these shoes on sale at DSW and immediately fell in love with them last year. I love how they are slides, but the pattern is so fun, bright, and colorful. These slide shoes are becoming so popular, I have seen them in so many stores. I have worn these shoes with dresses, skirts, dress pants, even rompers, but I loved how they looked with leggings and how the green in my top brought out my shoes. I will be getting a lot of use out of these this summer.

Lastly, I had to share my new favorite phone case/wristlet. I got it last year from MarleyLilly and not only do I love the monogram but I love that I can easily fit my phone and ID/credit card and be on the go, I don’t have to worry about taking a huge purse or not having pockets, this is the perfect size for the necessities.

It’s officially the last week of classes. I’m wrapping up my LAST spring semester and getting ready for summer. The end of the school year for graduating seniors means lots of ceremonies, celebrations and fun activities. Since, I am graduating in December, I am able to participate in a lot for the fun festivities. From Honor’s induction Ceremonies, to Senior Department Dinners, these past few weeks have busy but so fun! With all these events means lots of outfits. Today, I’m sharing a business casual look that could work for one of these events as well as a job interview or day at the office.
A preppy and spring business casual outfit
I wore this look for an Induction ceremony, I didn’t get a whole lot of pictures of my look since I was busy, but let’s break down the look.
I love these navy blue dress pants from The Limited. They are perfect for the spring and summer since they go to the ankle. Also, with a solid pant, you can wear fun and bolder tops.
I decided to wear the bright pink top. I got it from Francesca’s Boutique. I love how versatile this top is, I have worn it with jeans, leggings, a skirt, or dress pants. I really liked how it brought out the spring colors with the navy blue pants. I love to wear it with business casual outfits.

It was a bit breezy outside when I wore this wore this outfit and I wanted something to cover my shoulders. I was debating on wearing a blazer with it, but opted for a long white sweater to bring more color to the outfit. This is my favorite long sweater, I got it from the Scandal collection from The Limited. I loved how all these pieces worked well together.
I finished the outfit off with a pair of nude heels from DSW a few years ago. These shoes are comfortable, versatile, and long lasting. I have worn them for years. There is nothing better than having a good pair of heels.

I can’t believe I have created 100 looks, when I started this blog almost 2 years ago, I had no idea I would still be able to create outfits, I do have to say I have worn multiple pieces time and time again on my blog, but I have mixed them up and made them fresh and new. One of my favorite things about fashion is the ability to re-wear outfits in different ways and using what you have in your closet to put together a look. You can constantly have new outfits without breaking the bank.
Today’s look of the day is perfect for the spring weather we are experiencing. Last weekend, I was home to celebrate Easter with my family. I had found this dress a few months back and I couldn’t wait to wear it for Spring. Let’s get to this new number.
Floral for Easter
I was browsing a few months ago for some new pieces to add to my collection and one trend I kept seeing was floral patterns in different pieces. I found this perfect spring dress at Old Navy. I love that it is can be worn more dressed up for Church, going to work with a pair of heels and a sweater or more casual with a pair of sandals, and jean jacket. I got this floral pattern in a dress and scarf, but they also had it in blouses, tank tops, and dress pants. How fun?! Although, I could have gotten it in every article of clothing I opted for just the dress and scarf. Hereare similar dresses from Old Navy with the pattern in different cuts and styles.
I decided to dress this outfit up with a pair of heels. I absolutely love these pale-yellow heels. I got them from DSW from Kelly and Katie.Although, I don’t wear a lot of yellow, when I do have a lighter dress, or floral dress these shoes are the perfect pop of color. They tie the dress and other accessories together in a beautiful and simple way.

I am home for the next few days for Easter Break, it will be my last time home for the semester. I can’t believe the next time I will be home it will be after my junior year is over. It’s so crazy to wrap my head around the fact that my time in college is coming to an end. I have plenty of reflections of my junior year coming up but for now, I am enjoying some time at home before I am back to school to finish the semester off strong.
Today’s look of the day, is a very exciting one…we have finally reached the time in the year where I don’t need to wear a jacket 24/7!!! I kid you not, I was able to run errands in just a sweater and short sleeve shirt. It has been a VERY long winter and I am more than ready for spring. Let’s break down this outfit that is very neutral and very blue.
A neutral look going into spring
As always, Old Navy is my go-to for jeans. I am currently on the look for a pair of capris or skinny jeans, I’m planning on browsing Old Navy when I am home just to see what they have. I also, wore a crisp white short sleeve shirt from GAP to pair with the jeans, I love the look of jeans and a white shirt, I’m also on the look for another white blouse to dress up a pair of jeans, but for now, a white short sleeve shirt is perfect for running errands like I am today.
I love a light sweater especially when it’s a bit windy outside. I got this blue sweater from Target a few years back, I don’t wear it often but when I do, I like to just carry it with me especially in the summer when I am out to dinner and the weather gets cooler. I also like how the blue and white colors complement each other.
I wanted to add a fun accessory to my outfit which is where my bag came in. If you remember, I got this purse from Chicago last spring. In the wise words of Carrie Bradshaw…this couldn’t be more true, purses and shoes are my weakness haha!
This bag was not only a cute accessory but held everything I needed when I was out and about. I also topped off my outfit with a brown wedge.

Today’s outfit is perfect for the transitional weather. The days when it is cold in the morning but warm in the afternoon. The colors I am wearing are also warmer cools, perfect for fall, and winter. Although, the weather is still chilly I am more than ready for Spring, I am ready for lighter colors, less layers, and more time in the sun. It has been a VERY long winter. Haha! Let’s get to today’s look of the day.
Transitional clothing for the win
I decided to first put together this outfit by mixing and matching different pieces that I typically don’t wear together. I first started to put this outfit together by matching a simple pair of jeans and a white shirt. I got these regular jeans from Old Navy, my go to place for jeans. My plain white t-shirt is from Gap. Old Navy and Gap are my go-to places for affordable but good quality clothes. I love to pop in whenever I’m home just to see what things are new and in stock.
I love this burgundy sweater from American Eagle. I don’t wear it often, but when I do, I love what it does to an outfit. It is big and bulky, but it keeps me so warm and cozy. Especially during transitional weather, I don’t even need a jacket to wear when I am out and about with this sweater. Plus, I love the pop of color it brings to an outfit. It really breaks up the simple blue jeans and white shirt look.
Lastly, I am rocking my go-to black boots from DSW. When I got these boots last spring I never would have guessed that I would be wearing them so much and putting them with so many outfits. They have been easily my favorite and most worn purchase in a long time.

Happy, happy Thursday! I hope you all had a great week. It’s crazy how fast this week went by. I am headed home for the weekend to see my family since I haven’t seen them since coming back from Rome. It will be nice to relax for a bit since I have been going non-stop these past few weeks.
Last weekend, I went to a semi-formal dance with my friends from school. It was the last one for me and so many friends since they are graduating in May and I’ll be graduating in December. My good friend Bailey and I made a weekend out of it and had the best time. We started out with dinner, hung out with friends, went to the dance, and hit up the gym and breakfast the next day. It was by far one of my favorite weekends of the year. I wanted to share the details of my outfit for today’s look of the day. I can’t wait to share this more formal look with you all.

First, let’s start with the dress. I got this dress a few years back and I wore it for Christmas. I loved it when I wore it then and I was so excited to wear it again. The cream-colored dress was perfect for spring and the scalloped neckline was my favorite part of the dress, not to mention the unique material. I got this dress from Francesca’s Boutique.

Since the dress is very simple, I knew I needed a few pops of color, that came in the form of my red shoes, jewelry and makeup accents.

I got these red pumps from DSW last year and although they aren’t my go-to shoes, they are great to have to add a pop of color to an outfit. I got them last year to wear with my all black dress I wore for Christmas, you can see that outfit here. I always think it’s important to have a fun shoe to add a pop of color to a neutral outfit.
I also opted for a bit of colors in my jewelry. Since the neckline was unique, I didn’t want anything overpowering.
I also made the decision to wear more neutral make up but add a pop of color with my lip choice of a bright red. I wanted the accent color of red to stand out without being too over powering.
I always love the opportunity to dress up for a fun night out and last weekend was the best. After a busy week, I’m looking forward to a quiet weekend at home. See you all on Tuesday!

I’ve already been on the lookout for spring clothing and accessories. One thing that I have seen in a lot of stores are bold, floral patterns. I’ve already picked up a few pieces that I can’t wait to incorporate into my spring and summer wardrobe. Even though Spring is on my mind, I still have a few more outfits that are geared towards transitional weather. Today’s look of the day is more on the casual side but with a pop of business casual. Let’s get to this preppy look.
Modern yet classic style for today’s look of the day
Starting with the jeans. I love these boot cut jeans from Old Navy. I’m currently keeping my eyes open for a pair of jean capris or skinny jeans. Until then, I am sticking to my regular cut jeans, and boot cut jeans for the remaining weeks of colder weather.
I love to dress up jeans or add a pop of color with a pair of dark jeans. However, with today’s outfit I wanted to go with neutral colors and tones. I decided to go add just a plain white long sleeve shirt. I got my plain white shirt from Gap. I love the quality of their clothing for a good price. There is nothing like a crisp white shirt and a pair of navy jeans to make a simple outfit look clean and preppy.

Since the weather is still chilly, I wore my high black boots when I was out and about. Although, these have been my go-to shoes for the winter, I am looking forward to bringing in some lighter and brighter shoes for the spring and summer.
I decided to polish off this look with a navy blazer. Not going to lie, I borrowed this from my mom’s closet and never returned it…opps! What can I say, it’s a very good quality blazer, that is well fitted and can work with many outfits. You can wear it with dresses, skirts, dress pants, and jeans. This blazer is from Talbots, it is more of a traditional or classic women’s clothing store, the clothing never goes out of style. For this outfit, I opted for more of a casual look, wearing it with jeans and a white shirt. I’m looking forward to wearing it with more professional pieces of clothing in the future.
