I hope you had a wonderful week and are ready for the weekend. It’s the first weekend of October and it certainly feels like October. Fall is settling in which means several weekends of pumpkin patches, apple picking, leaves falling and cooler temperatures.
I’m excited to start crossing things off my fall bucket list.
Before we get to a weekend of fall fun, I wanted to share some things that I have been loving this week as I link up with Erika and Andrea
Midnight at the Pera Palace– The second season of Midnight at the Pera Palace came out towards the end of September and I have been slowly making my way through the season. It picks up right where season one end as storyline goes back and forth between the past and present. Although it can be hard to follow since it’s in a different language, the English dialogue does help, so do the subtitles.
Dot Pretzels-I was influenced by Erika and Shay to try these Dot pretzels and they are so good! I have only tried the original flavor, but I love the extra bite and zest they have. Definitely more flavorful than your average pretzel, but so delicious. I plan on trying on the other flavors too!
Large Lavender Lotion– I love lavender lotion and use it every night. I had been getting small bottles of lavender hand cream and lotion, but kept having to purchase refills more often than I would have liked. I decided to buy a large bottle of lavender lotion from Bath and Body Works. I love using a pump every night, it not only is softens my skin but soothes me as well. Definitely worth paying more for more product.
A Family Affair– Have you seen A Family Affair on Netflix? It stars Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron. It’s all about a widowed mom who falls for her daughter’s boss and let’s say things become quite the family affair. Although the storyline is for mature audiences, I really enjoyed watching it and I think the casting and chemistry was well done. Definitely a movie with adding to your watch list for your next movie night.
People We Meet on Vacation Casting– I’m a big fan of Emily Henry and I have read all of her books. Some are currently in the works to be made into movies or mini series, including People We Meet on Vacation! This is one of my favorite books by Henry and I can’t wait to see the adaptation. I’m familiar with some of the actors and actresses but I can’t wait to see them bring these characters to life.
That’s a look into what I’m loving this week! As we fully embrace fall, tell me what’s on your bucket list for this month?! Let me know in the comments below! Happy Fall Friday!
Happy end of September! By the end of August, I was so ready for September. This has been a month of adjusting, finding new routines, and self care, plus family time, travels, and time reconnecting with friends. The seasons changed from summer to fall and now we are in full fall mode and I am ready for it.
As we get ready for a new month just days away, I’m sharing a look into life lately.
What I’ve Been Up To:
I have been finding new places to run this month. I’ve run by the water and in different parks. It’s been fun to find new places and try new terrain to challenge myself.
I also hit a new milestone in my distance by running 9.5 miles, which I’m really proud of.
Another highlight of the month was getting my new Simplified planner for 2025. I went with Blush Block and can’t wait for the new year to break out my new planner.
I also got in one last zoo trip of the season on a beautiful day.
What I’m Wearing:
I have been trying to wear all my summer clothes before it gets too cold out. I have been wearing lots of shorts and blouse sets for heading out to dinner or time with friends.
This was another outfit I wore for work recently as we transition from summer to winter. The blazers are coming back.
I wore this for a day out and about and even though I wore white after Labor Day, the layers made me feel very fall-like.
What I’m Reading:
Atomic Habits–Atomic Habits by James Clear discusses the importance of building habits, creating routines, and starting small. He goes in-depth about the science and psychology of habits. He also gives real life examples of how to start small and build up to making life changes. I love and thrive off a good routine and rhythm and found this book fascinating. I learned so much and it really helped me better understand some of my habits and how I can build off them.
Just for the Summer– Abby Jiminez’s Just for the Summer was a really easy book to get swept into. It’s about a man and woman who both have the same issue, they date people, break up and then the person they are dating find their soulmate. The man and woman decide to date with hopes of finding their soulmate next. But life throws them both some curveballs. This wasn’t your typical beach read, there is a lot of depth and meat to it.
Swan Song– The final Elin Hilderbrand, Nantucket book, Swan Song follows a couple who moves to the island and immediately makes themselves a part of the community, but there is a bit of a mystery to them especially when they hire a girl who has no connection to Nantucket either. I like how there is more substance to Hilderbrand’s books, they aren’t just light and fluffy. here were a lot of references to past characters from other books, and I loved the description of Nantucket and all the restaurants and hot spots.
The Lazy Genius Way– I have been a big fan of Kendra Adachi and listen to her podcast weekly. I finally got around to reading her book, The Lazy Genius Way and I loved it. She goes in depth with a lot of the topics she covers in her podcast. I love how she writes very conversationally. I also got a workbook to go alongside it and found myself taking notes along the way. If you are looking for a book on how to work and live smarter and not harder, this is it.
The Five Star Weekend– I was on an Elin Hilderbrand role this month between watching The Perfect Couple, reading Swan Song and listening to The Five Star Weekend. I really loved this book, it’s all about a woman who invites four friends from different points of her life for a weekend on Nantucket. I loved hearing how all the friendships came to be and about the weekend itself. The description of Nantucket makes me want to visit. I also loved the storyline and the unexpected twists and drama too. It gets 5 Stars from me.
The Rom Commers- I ended the month with the Rom Commers by Katherine Center. It’s about two screenwriters (one very well-known and one newbie who are paired together together to write a screenplay for a romantic comedy together. There’s tension between the two at the start, but in typical rom-com fashion, feelings begin to bubble. I really liked the character development, but there were a few plot points that seemed a bit far fetched. But the concept and ending were worth it.
What I’m Watching: This past month I have been catching up on shows as the weather gets cooler. I finished season four of Emily in Paris which was really good. I liked the second half more than the first., but overall it was a good season.
My boyfriend and I have also been making our way through Breaking Bad which has been a new genre to us, but a good show and I’m glad we are watching it.
I also watched the mini-series, The Perfect Couple which is based on Elin Hilderbrand’s book and really loved the series and it followed the book pretty close.
What I’m Cooking: I have been back on the cooking train and have really been enjoying cooking with seasonal fruits and vegetables.
Grilled Chicken and Peach Salad– This was such a flavorful meal. I loved the mixture of fruits and vegetables with the protein. I also have been adding feta cheese or almonds or pecans for some extra flavor.
Ham, Cheese and Apple Flatbread- This was an easy lunch. I used sliced ham, provolone cheese and sliced apples on a flatbread and put it in the Airfryer for a few minutes. I loved the mix of flavors and the crispness of toasting it. This was a great fall-like meal too.
Grilled Chicken and Roasted Zucchini– Another easy, flavorful, and healthy meal. I really loved the mix of vegetables and the flavor of the chicken combined with it. It also took less than an hour to make, super easy on a busy night.
Chickpea Salad- i found this recipe on Pinterest and made it for my lunch for work. I really loved the chickpeas mixed with the vegetables and Italian dressing. It was very filling and healthy too, plus a great source of protein.
Shrimp Stir Fry– This was an easy one pot recipe that was very filling and flavorful. It took under 30 minutes to cook the shrimp, rice, and veggies and combine them all.
What Inspires Me– I have been inspired by the warm weather and by trying to get outside for as much of the month as possible.
What I Accomplished– I’m really proud of the time I have devoted to reconnecting with friends and family and myself. The summer, especially towards the end, was super busy and I got out of my routine and I’m really glad to have gotten back into a good rhythm this past month.
Goals from Last Month– I really wanted to establish new routines and spend more time with my hobbies and I definitely did that. I’m also proud of all the time I have spent catching up with friends. Plus, I did some traveling too which was fun!
I also accomplished a goal of creating a photo album from my family’s trip to Italy. I made on back from when I went in 2019 and created an updated one. I was so happy with how it turned out.
My mom and I had a girl’s night in and my pup crashed the party.
I ended the month with a weekend getaway that felt very fall-like with rainy and chilly temperatures.
Goals for this Month– I am looking forward to fully being in fall mode. I’m excited for fall fests, Halloween, plus some fun activities sprinkled through the month. I am also looking forward to accomplishing things on my fall bucket list.
That’s a look into life lately. Fresh starts, getting back into routines and the start of fall. What has your September been like? Are you ready for the new month? Let me know in the comments below! Welcome October!

Happy first full week of September. I hope you had a great Labor Day weekend and soaked up the last big weekend of summer. I still plan on keeping the shorts on and enjoying the sunshine for as long as I can this month.
September is always a month of transition, from getting back into a new routine being back to school, to the changing weather, this month can be a busy one. Over the next few weeks, I have some day trips planned, lots of appointments that I scheduled for when things calmed down from the busy summer and then some friend dates. I’m looking forward to crossing things off my to-do list and starting my fall bucket list!
Speaking of bucket lists, here’s a look at my summer bucket list all completed:
I got so much accomplished this summer, both on my list and doing things that came up through the summer, needless to say it was a fun and packed full summer. From trips to New York City, Toronto and San Diego, to lots of walks and picnics, grilling and pool days, it was a memorable summer!
Now that we are slowly saying goodbye to summer, it’s time to start thinking about FALL!

That’s just a start into what I hope to accomplish over the next few months. I love to make to-do lists and bucket lists because they give me ideas of things to do for fun and it encourages me to take advantage of my hometown and the season. I hope this gives you some ideas of fun things to do in the fall season.
Tell me, do you have a fall bucket list? What do you hope to accomplish?
We are wrapping up October and saying hello to November. If I could describe this month in one word, it would be FALL! I did all the fall things and I’ve been loving every moment of it. From walks to leaf picking, hot cider and all the apples. This month has been incredible.
Let me give you a recap in this month’s currently.
What I’ve Been Up To: All the fall things! I’ve been making great progress with my fall bucket list. I’ve gone apple picking, made an apple recipe, gone on fall walks and drives, cozied up a good book or two or three by the fire and have been making the most of the cooler days.
What I’m Wearing: As we transition to cooler weather, I’ve been doing lots of layering. I went for coffee last week and then a walk and wanted to be both comfortable but cute. I wore this stripped shirt from Old Navy with a blue vest and jeans and sneakers, the perfect fall outfit.
I also shared a dress I got from Calvin Klein a few weeks back that works great for a date night or a night out with the girls. Perfect for fall too!
What I’m Reading: SO. MANY. GOOD. BOOKS. I don’t know where to begin. I read All We Ever Wanted by Emily Griffin. I remember hearing about this book a few years ago on blogs and finally decided to read it. It was definitely a heavier read and dealt with more serious topics. The book follows the story or two separate families that are forced to get to know each other after their teenagers get involved in a bad situation. Themes of loyalty, coming of age, and finding yourself are weaved through this book. Definitely worth the hype.
What I’m Watching: Besides fall shows being back like Grey’s Anatomy. I’ve also been making my way through Sweet Magnolias which I finished. That was such a fun and light-hearted show that still had depth to it. I can’t wait for season 3!
What I’m Loving: I’ve been really enjoying the fall days. From getting pumpkins to going to fall festivals. I’ve had such a good month. I know next month will get cooler and darker as the days get shorter, so I am soaking up all sunshine and changing leaves.
I’ve also been doing lots of cooking and baking. I’ve been trying to make something every weekend whether it’s a meal or a dessert and I have to say the practice is so soothing and relaxing, plus who doesn’t love to eat something warm after a cold day?!
What Inspires Me: I mentioned this a few weeks back, but I’ve been going down the Pinterest rabbit hole when it comes to fall ideas, decor and recipes, so relaxing and fun!
I’ve also been inspired by fall pieces that I’ve seen in decor stores like Home Goods and Marshalls. I’m always inspired by seeing what is on the shelves and seeing how I can use things in my own home without spending money. I’ve also been doing more reading every day. I typically read in the mornings, but I’ve been reading more at night before bed. It’s been such a nice way to unwind at the end of the day.
What I Accomplished: I’ve been so good about checking things off my fall bucket list, but I still have a way to go. It’s been fun to make memories and have a list of things to do when I’m looking for something fun to do.
Goals from Last Month: My main goal was to make headway on my fall bucket list, and I’ve done a good job at that so far.
Goals for this Month: As we get closer to the holidays, I want to start thinking about who I need to buy for for the holidays. I am also looking forward to having the whole family together for Thanksgiving.
Happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a great week as we make our way through September. Since we are now at the halfway point of the month, I figured it was time to break out the fall bucket list.
I love lists! I love laying everything out in one space, I love the satisfaction of crossing things off when they are completed, I love seeing my to-do list in front of me. It should come as no surprise that I love seasonal bucket lists. These lists serve as a way to get ideas for weekends activities, time with family or even dates. I carried some items from my summer bucket list over to my fall bucket list that I didn’t accomplish yet.
Without further ado, here’s my Fall 2022 Bucket List!

Hey hey guys! Happy final week of September! Anyone else feel like we just celebrated Labor Day??
This month feels like a whirlwind, from wrapping up summer fun to starting the fall season. This month was packed full with lots of fun and memories. Here’s a look back on September with Currently.
What I’m up to: Lots of fall walks! I am trying to soak up as much time outside as possible. From walks at the Peninsula, to walks in the woods or just in my backyard.
I finished summer with a traditional baseball game.
I’ve also made headway in my fall bucket list! l already went to a pumpkin patch and I’m making headway in some scary stories and fall walks too. Besides work and family time, my hobbies have been keeping me busy.
What I’m wearing: The weather has made it hard to find outfits this season. Sometimes I can get away with short sleeves, other times, its long sleeves and pants. I have a fall roundup of work clothes coming soon! I am starting to break out my leggings when I’m at home on days off or when I come home from work. I found a great pair from Gap, they are super long lasting and are thick too. I also like that they are high-waisted too!
What I’m reading: I finished reading “The People You Meet on Vacation” and I absolutely loved it! From the characters, the plot and the way it was told. If you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend it!
I’m also currently reading “The Silent Patient”. My friend Maddie recommended it to me and I have loved it! I’ve never been a fan of thrillers or dark mysteries but I’m hooked on it. What are some books you are loving?!
What I’m Watching: I finished watching season 2 of Modern Love. I really loved the first season and I thought the second one was good, but I really loved the first one. Based on popularity I started to watch Community. I really love the characters and how its only 30 minute episodes. I also can’t wait for my shows to return on tv!! Shows returning in the fall is a big favorite for me!
What I’m Loving: As we are making our way through fall, I’m all about staying in more, less time traveling and more quality time unwinding after work or spending time with family. I’m loving cozy nights in and building time in my schedule for the things I love including reading or shows or even going for walks or coffee with friends.
What Inspires Me: For the longest time I was putting off the start of fall. I wanted to hold onto summer for as long as I could. I enjoyed a boat ride with co-workers and I enjoyed a flower festival with my mom too!
But now that fall is here, I’m embracing it!! From seeing the leaves fall to lighting warm scents and candles to seeing pumpkins and hay and apples in displays in stores and at different farmer’s markets.
What I accomplished: As far as accomplishments go, I’ve been keeping busy at work between some projects and just the daily work. I’ve been making time for meaningful time with family too. I got busy in the summer visiting friends, but now that things have quieted down a but I’m liking a quieter lifestyle. I even started finding old hobbies fun again, like word searches. I loved them as a child and I’m found my love for them again!
Goals Accomplished from Last Month I really soaked up the end of summer and the warm weather by going on walks and enjoying some tasty ice cream, say it with me, ice cream makes everything better. Now, that summer is officially behind us, it’s full on fall mode.
Goals for the New Month: Besides working, my goal for the next month is to accomplish as many things as possible on my fall bucket list! I love my lists and I look forward to crossing more things off and making memories.
That’s a look into my life this past month, all about the changing of seasons and getting ready for a new season. What are you looking forward this next month? What was a highlight from your past month?
Hey ya’ll, it’s fall!!! I rarely say ya’ll except to have it rhyme with fall hehe! If you have been following along for a while, you know I love my bucket lists and to do lists.
Every season I make a list of activities or things I want to do in that season. I’ve made them for the past few summers and I love seeing how much I accomplish and all the memories I make along the way. They can be as simple as getting a favorite drink or going for a walk or something bigger like heading to a fall festival. It’s all about taking advantage of opportunities and making memories.
I always like to create a list of season must-do’s. Here’s my fall 2021 bucket list:
Apple Picking
Niagara Falls
Kinzua Hike
Hockey Game
Cider Press
Decorate Pumpkins
Collect Leaves
Scary Book and Movie
Celebrate Halloween
Fall Walk
Enjoy Hot Apple Cider
Make A Fall Treat
Mason Farms
Fall Festival
This is just a little to-do list of plans I have for the next few months. If I get them all done, great! If I don’t then it’s not the end of the world. Sometimes, I do things that aren’t on my list and that’s part of the fun. Also, having a list helps come up with ideas to do when you are looking for fun inspiration.
Hey hey everyone! October was a month, like between working different schedules, seeing family, and gearing up for a busy few weeks ahead. With that being said, I apologize if this currently is a little boring. But let’s get to it.
What I’m up to: Lots of work but also filling my free time in with fall activites. This past week I went apple picking and it was so fun and very fall! I’m so glad I got it in before the weather got too cold.
What I’m wearing: I went on a shopping spree to Marshall’s and T.J. Maxx and got some cute dresses for fall. Check out this green one!!! Perfect for winter and fall weather and the color compliments the weather we are experiencing.
What I’m reading: I decided to try some audio books. I am currently making my way through Mindy Kailing’s book series through Amazon reading. She has a series of books that reflects her life, her family, her work and her background. This is such a fun listen especially when I’m doing things around the house.
What I’m Watching: I’ve been watching Schitt’s Creek and loving it. I love that the episodes are only 20 minutes and the casting is perfect. It’s the perfect light thing to watch at the end of the day or when I’m getting ready to start the day.
What I’m Loving: I am loving the fall weather, the changing of the leaves, the crisp air and making my way through my bucket list for fall.
What Inspires Me: I’ve been lately so inspired by Pinterest. I am loving all the fall and winter boards I’m creating for food, fashion, fun and quotes. It’s been a great creative escape.
What I accomplished: With work being super busy, I am so happy with getting time to relax and unwind even during the busy days, plus I am loving the ability to relax and unwind and make times for family traditions in the fall too.
Goals Accomplished from Last Month Despite all the chaos, I have still been able to stay in touch with family and friends with weekly facetime calls and in person dinners. Also, even in all the craziness, I have been able to keep up with my work out routine and stay active too.
Goals for the New Month: Although, this next month will start out busy I am looking forward to planning for the holidays, even though it will be a bit different I am looking forward to all my favorite yearly traditions.
That’s just a recap into life today. Not too exciting but a realistic look into life today.
