Friday Favorites #21

Hey everyone! Happy Friday! Itā€™s the LAST Friday of 2022 and what a year it has been. This past week has been fast and slow in the best ways. I got quality time with family, time lounging and relaxing and getting reset for the new year. Ready or not, 2023 is coming. Hereā€™s five things Iā€™m loving this week as I link up with Ā ErikaĀ andĀ AndreaĀ for another edition of Friday Favorites:

Christmas Treats-This week has been full of so many Christmas treats! From cookies, to popcorn, trail mix and more. Iā€™ve been trying to maintain balance, but itā€™s easier said than done. Iā€™m looking forward to restarting and getting back to healthier habits next year.

A look at some of my favorite treats.

Sauce Holder– I love sauces and condiments with my meals, especially when it comes to fast foods, like fries or nuggets. I got this super handy gadget for Christmas and canā€™t wait to use it in the car. A sauce holder for the road, such a fun, creative and useful concept. Love it! Iā€™ll report back after I use it.

Such a fun and practical gift.

Exploding Kittens– My siblings and I got this as a gift for Christmas and had so much fun playing this card game. Up to five people can play and itā€™s a fun game that doesnā€™t take too long to get through, plus itā€™s easy to learn so all ages can participate. Iā€™m looking forward to more board games nights in the winter months.Ā

Something From Tiffanyā€™s– I have been wanting to watch this movie for a few weeks and finally watched it this past week. Itā€™s a cute rom-com that follows two couples when their packages from Tiffanyā€™s get switched and they end up meeting with hopes to exchange gifts, until they start to fall for each other. Thereā€™s a happy ending that will have you grinning from ear to ear.

Such a fun rom-com.

Christmas Decor– I know some people like to take their Christmas decorations the day after Christmas, while others keep it up until after New Yearā€™s, I am the latter. I love to keep up all the decorations for as long as possible. After all the hustle and bustle over the past six weeks, itā€™s so nice to be able to enjoy the decorations and sit by the tree all lit up, simply beautiful and magical.

Beautiful night by the tree.

Thatā€™s a look into life this past week. I hope you have a safe and relaxing New Yearā€™s weekend.

See you in 2023 for a look at my New Yearā€™s Resolutions. Happy New Year!

Look of the Day #102

LOTD

Hello all! Happy Thursday, I am wrapping up finals week. This week has flown by, I have been able to catch up with friends, make memories and wrap up the semester. I will be moving back home this weekend where I will be for the summer. On Tuesday, I will be sharing my semester recap-one of my favorite posts, but until then I have a look of the day that is all about spring, pastel colors. I love to add color to my outfits any chance I get, and this outfit was the perfect opportunity to channel all the spring vibes.

All Set for Spring

When I wore this outfit, I was running errands and wanted something comfortable but also chic. I got this mint green top from Francescaā€™s Boutique a few years back. I love how it is so versatile. I typically wear it dressed up with dress pants or a skirt, but it can be worn with jeans or leggings as well. This color is perfect for the spring and summer months, I also love that you can layer it if necessary. A long or short sweater would go perfectly with this combo.Ā

I opted for a pair of skinny black leggings with the bold, bright top. Gap is always my go-to for long-lasting durable leggings.Ā

My shoes are my favorite part of my outfit. I got these shoes on sale at DSW and immediately fell in love with them last year. I love how they are slides, but the pattern is so fun, bright, and colorful. These slide shoes are becoming so popular, I have seen them in so many stores. I have worn these shoes with dresses, skirts, dress pants, even rompers, but I loved how they looked with leggings and how the green in my top brought out my shoes. I will be getting a lot of use out of these this summer.Ā

How cute are these fun flats, they can go with so many outfits!

Lastly, I had to share my new favorite phone case/wristlet. I got it last year from MarleyLilly and not only do I love the monogram but I love that I can easily fit my phone and ID/credit card and be on the go, I donā€™t have to worry about taking a huge purse or not having pockets, this is the perfect size for the necessities.Ā

Who doesn’t get all the spring feels from this outfit?!

I am off to wrap up the last few days before its summer time. Have an enjoyable weekend! To all the moms out there-have a beautiful and restful Motherā€™s Day, thank you for all that you do, especially to my incredible mom! I’m so glad I will be home to celebrate Mother’s Day with her!

What can I say? I got it from my mom!

Top Things of 2017

Happy day after Christmas. Have you recovered from all the sugar? Is wrapping paper still all over your home? Grab a cup of coco and settle in for the top things of 2017.

2017, is coming to an end. Where has this year gone? Today, Iā€™m wrapping out the year with my top 5 things of 2017. Ā These include my favorite books, tv series, movies, and fashion trends. Letā€™s take a walk down memory lane, shall weā€¦

  • Favorite Book: ā€œGrace Not Perfectionā€ I read this book this past fall and it really made me appreciate the simple things. I found it very relatable and it was easy to read. It gave me tips to stay organized and embrace simplicity. Emily Ley, the author, has a new book out called ā€œThe Simplified Lifeā€, I am already planning to read it next year. “Grace Not Perfection”, is a terrific book to kick off 2018 with, I highly recommend it.

Must read especially going into a new year.
  • Favorite TV Show: 2017, brought a lot of new shows. My personal favorite was SEAL Team. Itā€™s a military drama about life both in the warzone and coming home. Each episode takes the team on different missions, but once they get home, the struggles are still the same. Plus, can we talk about what a good looking cast that is?! It returns January 3, 2018 on CBS. Wednesdays at 9:00.

It returns Wednesday, January 3, 2018
  • -Favorite Movie: ā€œBeauty and the Beastā€, I love the remaking of classic Disney movies. From the music, to the actors, and the set design, I loved every aspect. Seeing this movie brought back many childhood memories, although I will always be biased to Cinderella. This was a great family movie that could be enjoyed by all.

Loved reliving my childhood through this movie
  • Favorite Album/ Music: 2017, had a lot of good music. My personal favorites were Ed Sheeranā€™s Divide, I listened to his album nonstop especially when it came to writing endless papers for school. I loved Jessie James Deckerā€™s second album, Southern Girl City Lights. I loved the message behind every song. And lastly, to end the year, Taylor Swift made her return with Reputation. The album got me going early mornings in the gym.

    Started 2017 with this album

Loved the meaning behind all the songs.

Ended 2017 in a bang with Ms. Swift
  • Favorite Accessory: This year I couldnā€™t get enough monogramming done. Whether it was a baseball cap, scarf or purse. I love the personalization of getting something monogrammed. I love my local monogramming boutique but Marley Lilly and Etsy are great go-tos.

    Clutch

    Hat

    Scarf
  • Well there you have it. My top favorite things of 2017. What were your favorites? What are you excited for in 2018? Iā€™ll be sharing one last fashion trend on Thursday. See you then.
