We are almost to the weekend. I canāt believe we are already in the middle of July! Summer slow down! After the short week last week with the Fourth of July, I am back into a routine of summer.Ā
Todayās outfit is one that Iām very excited for! I firmly believe all girls should have a little black dress in the collection. It doesnāt have to be super fancy or flashy, but something simple and elegant, and can be worn for a date night, dressed up look, or office wear.
Hello Little Black Dress
I got this little black dress from Old Navy on sale, I never would have guessed I would find this there, but I couldnāt be happier with my purchase!
I opted for an all black look. I wore a high black heel, not only to make my legs look longer (haha) but also to make the dress more formal. I wear these for formal occasions, and got this pair at Marshalls!Ā
I then opted for add a monogrammed clutch from Marley Lilly to the ensemble.Ā

The outfit is put together and can be worn to so many places without breaking the bank. As a college student transitioning to young adult life, I believe you can look good and put together without breaking the bank. If you look good, then you will feel good!

A perfect winter outfit
I got this simple black dress from Old Navy. It is a great dress that can be dressed up for Church, or a formal dinner as well as dressed down in a jean jacket and boots. I wore this ensemble to Church over the weekend. I decided to dress up this simple dress with black tights and shoe boots. I love the wedge/heel that these shoes offer.Ā
A warm scarf and cute purse for the winter months
I didnāt want my whole outfit to be dark, so I brought in some pops of color. I got this scarf this past Christmas. I love the dark colors of brown, deep red, navy, and black. These are perfect winter colors to compliment the black dress. This scarf would also very nice to pair with a pair of jeans or a simple t-shirt or even with a more casual look of leggings and an oversized sweater.

I also couldnāt help but not share this new purse I got for Christmas. I love anything monogrammed and this is the perfect size to hold your cellphone when you donāt want to carry a big purse. I got this small purse from Marley Lilly.Ā

No matter what age, I always like celebrating Halloween from the candy to the creative costumes and all the fun fall activities that go along with it. This past weekend was the Halloween dance at my school. Itās a big dance that everyone goes to. I love to see all the fun costumes that people come up with and dance the night away with my friends.
This year I had such a hard time coming up with a costume for Halloween. I had gone through a whole list of suggestions and ideas for what to go as. I finally landed on an idea that was creative and out of the box, or so I thought.

I went as someone from a masked ball.
In high school, my junior promās theme was masquerade and I got this beautiful, painted mask from Pier One. I loved wearing the masked to my prom and I was looking for an excuse to wear it again. The costume was the perfect opportunity. So, letās break down my costume.
I got the mask from Pier One a few years ago, I love how detailed it is and how ornate it is as well.
The black dress I wore was an old dress I had from high school. I wore it to one of my high school homecomings as well as a college dance. I love being able to re-wear clothes for different occasions. This was the perfect opportunity to wear this fun party dress again in a different setting,
My shoes are another favorite part of my outfit. I wore them to my senior prom in high school and I was so excited to re-wear them again in college for this dance. My mask has some gold elements in it so I was very happy to add these shoes to my outfit.
I put my own spin on my masked ball costume. I was very happy with how my costume turned out and I had a great time.

Itās Thursday!! We are halfway through February! This month is going by too fast. This was a very busy week, but I got a lot of fun things planned for the weekend.
Today, I have a different out for you look of the day. Last week I had a lot of meetings which meant a lot of dressing up. Hereās an example of a business casual look I wore for an interview. I had a lot of these pieces already in my wardrobe it was just a matter of putting them all together. I wanted to look professional for my interview, but it also was the last thing of the day following a full day of classes with not enough time to change. I wore this outfit to all classes and then to an interview and dinner. I was comfortable the entire day and felt good about what I was wearing.
A more formal look for today.
I wore my simple black shoe boots from DSW. I chose these since they were comfortable, professional, and simple. I wore a pair of black tights to go with my simple, black cotton dress.
I got this dress from Old Navy a few years ago just to have as an extra dress and Iām surprised how much Iāve worn it. I have worn it to Mass, Work Interviews, Class Presentations, even Funerals. I have gotten a lot of wear out of this dress and it was one of the smartest purchases Iāve made.
In order to break up the all lack of color, I wore a winter white sweater from the Scandal Style from The Limited Collection. I also paired a long necklace and pearl earrings to top off the look.
I am always looking for new ways to pull outfits together. When it comes to solid colors, you can mix and match them. Thereās no better feeling than pulling a new outfit together with things you already have. I hope this draws some inspiration for the next time you wear a little black dress out.

I wore this outfit for Christmas. But, i have many more ideas of where I can wear this outfit.
I got this lace black dress from Charming Charlie. Iāve gotten accessories from there but never clothes! I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the dress and the cost! I got it on sale right before the holidays. Win win! I know this dress will be something I have somehting in my collection for a while. A girl should always have a little black dress.
Since I wore a black dress, I wanted to add a pop of color. I wore cherry red nail polish from Chrome Girl Nails.It was a great sparkly red. I got this pair of red heels to go with this black dress from DSW. I was looking for something fun to go with this black dress and these shoes did the trick. My last pop of red came in the form of red lip stick!
I dressed the outfit up with a pair of pearl earrings and a pearl necklace and ring.
I got a monogrammed cute clutch for Christmas from a friend and it tied my whole outfitĀ together.
Overall, i was very happy with how my outfit turned out. I know i will be able to wear this dress again and again!
