Apple Music Review

Hello everyone!

Happy Wednesday! A belated Happy Easter. If you celebrate the holiday, I hope you had a wonderful weekend with loved ones. I always feel that no matter when Easter falls, it’s always a welcome to spring, no matter the weather. Here’s a look at how I celebrated the Easter holiday.

I hope you are having a great week as we roll through April.

Something that I love to do when I get the opportunity is to try new things, whether it be food, experiences, services, or items. It’s always good to get a trial run before deciding to make a full commitment. This is one reason why I love free trials before I decide to take the plunge and subscribe or purchase something.

Last January, I purchased a new Apple watch and got three months free for Apple Music. I have never had a music subscription before and was excited to give it a try. My free trial period just ended and I wanted to share my thoughts with you today.

Let me preface this post by saying that it’s not sponsored by any means, all opinions are mine, and I currently am not subscribed to any other music service, nor have I ever been.

Overall, I was happy with my free, three-month subscription. I got access to millions of songs for free and it was very user friendly. Previously if I wanted to listen to music on my phone, I would just find a song or album on Youtube and listen to it, the only downside was that I had to stay on Youtube and couldn’t do other things on my phone. With Apple music, you can play a song or album and use other apps, this was a huge plus for me. I also loved how easy and accessible music was to me and by and large, I had great connection and service that the music wouldn’t buffer like it can do on other apps.

A look at some of my recent listens

I really tried to make an effort to use Apple music as much as I could, but found myself choosing podcasts or audiobooks as opposed to Apple music since I prefer them more.  Although I love to listen to music, I prefer a good audiobook on Libby or my favorite podcast on Apple podcast as opposed to listening to music.

Some of my favorite podcasts

I did find myself listening to full albums from movies or musicals on Apple music and it was so nice to listen to them straight through with no interruptions. I have missed that, now that I no longer have a subscription.

I enjoyed having something to listen to on long trips or car rides and I was introduced to some new singers thanks to Apple Music.

As much as I loved my three month free trial, I don’t see myself using Apple Music enough to purchase the monthly subscription. I’m more of a podcast or audiobook gal, which I can enjoy for free and without another subscription.

If I was more of a music lover, I definitely think it would be worth the subscription, but for someone who chooses to talk on the phone or listen to other things, it was not worth the purchase for me.

I thoroughly enjoyed my three months with Apple music, but in the end, I decided not to get the subscription. If you are a music lover, I believe it’s worth every penny.

If you are an Apple music lover, what are your favorite features or things about? This is just my opinion on it, but I would love to hear yours! Do you love it? Hate it? Can live without it? Let me know in the comments below! That’s my take on Apple Music.

Whether you are an Apple music listener or not, I hope you found this post helpful and informative.

I’ll see you back here for another edition of Friday Favorites! Have a great day!
